Gyno, but slightly to the side of the nipple
Hi gents,
Well, it finally happened to me. I dipped my toes into the world of MENT, and before I knew it, 3 weeks in while showering there it was, an uncomfortable-to-touch lump in my right pec.
But, here's the thing. It's not directly underneath the nipple, but maybe 0.5-1 inch off to the side, towards the armpit. Basically, the lump starts right at the edge of the nipple areola, and extends out about an inch. It's maybe 0.5-0.75 inches of hard tissue that I can dig in and pinch underneath, and sorta roll it around in the flesh there.
No dimpling of the skin, no changing colors, no nipple inversion, no lactation. I wouldn't call it "painful", but I definitely don't enjoy having it touched. You can't even really see anything from just looking at me. Left nipple is fine, this is purely a right-sided issue at the moment.
I'm in-between bloodwork cycles so I don't currently know my E2 levels - but my understanding is MENT converts to some rare forms of highly potent estrogen that won't show on standard bloodwork panels anyways.
Does this sound familiar to others here? Or do I need to go down the anxiety rabbit hole of male breast cancer? --

this is a typical cycle for me (if anything, I usually run higher NPP). Always feels great.
and then I added in 10mg/daily of MENT because I was curious about it's anabolic effects, after 1 week I wasn't enjoying the high blood pressure, dropped it down to 5mg/day, 2 more weeks, and then I noticed the hard lump. Stopped it immediately.

I like to run a similar cycle with Mast instead of primo. I’ve never tried ment but I recently bought some. 10 a day seems conservative. I hope you can crush that gland with raloxifene.
Just get some Raloxifene and take it until the lump is gone. It works like magic.
In my humble view. That sounds much more consistent with early gynecomastia than breast cancer, especially given the timing after starting MENT. Gyno doesn’t always present directly under the nipple. It can start as a firm, tender, rubbery lump at the edge of the areola and extend off to one side rather than being perfectly centered.
MENT is notorious for estrogenic side effects because its metabolite, 7a-methylestradiol, is extremely potent. The tricky part is that a standard sensitive estradiol test doesn’t necessarily reflect the total estrogenic activity you’re experiencing, so a “normal” E2 result doesn’t always rule out an estrogen-driven problem.
That said, nobody online can tell you with certainty what a breast lump is. Male breast cancer is much less common than gyno, but any new unilateral breast lump is worth getting evaluated, especially if it becomes hard and fixed, rapidly enlarges, is associated with skin changes, nipple retraction, bloody discharge, or enlarged lymph nodes.
Based on what you described, a new, tender lump that appeared within a few weeks of introducing MENT, early gyno would be extremely high on my list. I’d still get it examined rather than assume, though. This is one of those situations where it’s better to be safe than sorry. And if MENT is the culprit, stopping it may allow things to improve, particularly if it’s caught early.
Thanks man. This was my opinion as well. The only thing that had me doubting everything, is that the lump is not directly under the nipple. 95% of what I find online implies it should be directly beneath the nipple.

Stopped the MENT. I was getting really high BP anyways.
Regardless, yeah, doc appt booked next week.
Be honest with your doctor and maybe you will get what the ROCK had done and never have to worry about it again

Gyno and breast cancer cells are going to propagate in the same area - in the breast cells found behind the nipple.
The way you describe it, I almost doubt that it’s true gyno. You may have a cyst, inflamed node, or some other type of localized infection.
