Name a bodybuilder a lot of people have forgotten. My 8 year old son asked me about bodybuilding and we were watching videos. Random video of Robby Robinson came up. So he’s my forgotten. Dude had one of the most phenomenal physiques ever in my opinion. Not a freak just insane mix of great size and flow.

Dennis Wolf was an absolute freak of nature I think a lot of people have forgotten about. His offseason pictures are just plain nutty
Bertil Fox was a bad mf. He has some workout vids on YouTube. He was an absolute beast. Also I saw he got pardoned for the little domestic incident he was in prison for.
Try finding a bodybuilder today that has the lower lats Xmas tree like Robbie Robinson
Shorty Danny Padilla....
Well he's not forgotten but man Arnold is a monster right here awesome pic
Another forgotten, Tom Prince RIP, had a really good physique, taking extreme amount of Nsaids daily, on top of all the gear, led to kidney failure.
Jeff King
Ill give you two on each end of the spectrum. Bob Paris at his peak was a sight to behold. Pure esthetics, art, & beauty. Represents all that was good about what the sport used to be.
Second, have to go Mr Most Muscular himself Marcus Ruhl. Ruhl at the 2002 NOC was peak freak of all freaks. Find that video and show your son just what exact a "mass monster" is supposed to look like.
Porter Cottrell...I totally forgot about Porter even though he was the first Pro BB I'd ever met. We worked out in the same Gold's Gym in the mid 90's (yeah, I know this is dating my old ass) He was around 5'6" and I think one of the last classically aesthetic pros of the era. I remember how approachable, humble and genuine he was as he took time to educate me a bit on bodybuilding and use of gear.
Porter was also a fireman which speaks volumes about his character. How many of you remember this guy?
Great call brother. Porter I always felt was super under rated. He always came in peak peak shape. I want to say I believe he won The Nationals at around 190 and change while being absolutely full & diced.
I remember him well mate, I am 46 so we may of grew up in the same era?
I also met Shawn Ray in California in Powerhouse Gym in his prime!! My friend knew him well and I was just like FUCK ME!!!
Tito Ortiz was also in there training everyday as MMA was coming into its prime - he was always stood next to me doing endless barbell curls LOL As a 15 year old kid at the time I was intimidated as hell.
I'm a little bit older but yeah same era. Shawn Ray was phenomenal back then.
I met Tito once in 05 at an mma event in Texas. I remember thinking, how in the hell does he not topple over with that big ass head? lol
It was 95/96 when I was over in the US and met them. Pal I didn't even know what MMA was in those days as it hadn't made its way to the UK yet - I was just told its 'Street Fighting' by guys in the gym lol Funniest thing that he always did when I was there is instead of walking out the normal way round the railings and walkway inside the gym - he would literally volt over the steel railings by the front desk and all I would see land in front of me was this huge guy with a massive Cross Tattoo across his entire back!!! I would just think who the hell is that???!!
I've just realised that was 31 years ago, all thats sat here now is a broken shell of an Old man LMAO
LOL, I feel the same...I'm about to hit it hard one more time to see how good I can get at this age before I just cruise into the sunset.
Thelma and Louise style!!! LMAO
HAHA! Yep! Till the wheels fall off.
So you are definitely an 80's child like me then - don't you think that decade was just the best of all decades?? The Music, hair styles, fashion, what was cool to be into, the care free way everyone acted? I hated the 90's that followed - it was so different especially over here.
100%!! Life was so much less restrictive and much more exciting. From Michael Jackson being BAD and Crew Jones being RAD, it was the best time to be alive imo.
Ohh Yeah mate!!! Poison, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Dirty Diana, Acid drops & Trucks - All of it was cool!! Lol
Can't forget knight rider and duke's of hazzard lol
Ohh GAAWWWDDD YEAH!!! Super Pursuit mode KIT!!!!!
Also ..... THE A-TEAM Bro, Remember to shoot EVERYWHERE but the actual Bad Guy LMAO
LOL!!!!! How could I forget to mention the A-Team? I pitty tha fool! Just squeeze and shoot everything lol
I remember when I went to Universal Studio's and saw the A Team van - that to me at the time was just Unreal. My overall favourite was Hannibal, but liked each one at various stages. Who knew that the entire cast actually hated him to work with??!! LOL
I know of a place that has a collection of all those cars...General Lee, Rosco's Cop Car, Kitt and the A-Team van. I still love seeing them.
Lol, yeah he apparently had a huge ego.
Not forgotten but one day I want to be able to pull off wearing "Ranger Panties" (male dazy dukes shorts) and look as good as Mike. His 70s porn stach and the Jeffery Dahmer serial killer glasses is peak masculinity.
1970s Navy SEAL.. This dude is pretty badass as well, canteen strapped to his hip while wearing no shirt, khakis , and shooting a M60 because, muh, hydration is important
Andreas Munzer...
I had many pictures of him on my wall too. Kev Levrone, Ronnie, Nasser, Jean Pierre Fux, Chris Cormier, Greg Kovacs, Of Course Arnold Lol,
I met Kevin in 07 at the Olympia. This was when he was a normal size person. It's unbelievable how he can change his physique.
I liked rich piana. He was raw and talked that shit. And wasn't scared to say what he actually did, even admitting to that silicone like type injections for like permanent gains. Rip tho still a unsolved thing, I think his girl was involved in his de@th.
Markus Ruhl
For sure - Amazing that guy is still alive tbh, guess he got out in time before the gear ruined him.
He was never pretty to look at, but when I was a teenager he was one of my favourites because he was so Thick and Freaky to look at - Funny thing is most of the guys onstage look like this now:
One of those who paid the price unfortunately ...
Milos Sarcev said at one point he was taking 10 anadrol a day. He was different.
Great symmetry. I prefer tha look over a mass monster anyday
This Guy was always my favourite Bodybuilder:
Can you say PRIZED TWAT .....
That's synthol in his arms, right? Asking for a friend haha
A Barrel in each arm mate ........ BEFORE they literally exploded
Oh yeah, shit.... I change my answer.
He definitely built something...
Lumps of coal for Christmas
Mr Zane
Zane and reeves are two of my favorites.
Zane for the ultimate physique, I used a lot of his principals for working the small muscles, Reeves for that old school purism.
Love his philosophy on mind muscle connection, precision and control. My eye gravitates to his type of physique over the mass monster types. I am probably gay
Nickname " The Chemist ", lives about 15mins from me, also trains clients at his home.
You should be booking in for a session! I sure would if I lived close. My favourite bodybuilder for sure, the ultimate aesthetic look in my opinion. Serge Nubret also incredible.
Flex wheeler for anesthetics
Favorite forgotten bodybuilder. I may have few. I remember Dennis Newman, left the sport shortly after getting his pro card, diagnosed with Leukemia. He had that Superman look, very aesthetic physique.
There was also a slight problem if you said you were a fan of his lol
