Adding anavar to last week's of a cut.

ad

I'm 19lbs to my goal weight. In the shittiest part of a cut where everything feels twice as heavy, no energy, moody as hell etc etc. but I can see the finish line. I have a couple boxes of anavar on hand, but have never used anavar before. Last bloods were about 6 weeks ago and were clean. My body is starting to really fight me, and wondering if anyone would suggest hitting the var for the last 8 weeks of this cut. I'm currently pinning 200/wk of test cyp. My only reason for considering taking anavar would be to preserve as much muscle as possible during these last 8 or so weeks. Then drop the test down to about 125-150/wk and go on a nice couple months long cruise and let the jets cool. And then probably do a blast in winter. Or am I way off base? Suggestions ? or should I just suck it up and keep doing what I'm doing?

Yo, this is exactly where most dudes break. Not ‘cause the cut’s wrong, but because the suffering starts outrunning the mirror. Everything hurts, weights feel like gravity tripled, mood’s dogshit, sleep sucks, and you start wondering if you even like being lean. Welcome to the pain cave.

Now, Anavar for the final 8 weeks....

The Pros:
Anavar shines in this exact phase.

Hardens the look

Preserves strength

Enhances nitrogen retention

Doesn’t hold water

Doesn’t spike estrogen

And at 200mg test per week, you’ve got enough of a base to run it clean.

Your bloods were solid, and if this is your first run with Var, your androgen receptors are prime for it. The response you’ll get will be real, not placebo.

8 weeks is the upper safe range if it’s real Var and your liver support’s on deck (TUDCA, NAC, hydration dialed in).
And the mental boost, Game-changer. When the mirror shows that dry fullness instead of stringy flatness, you’ll train angry in a good way again.

The Risks:
Var will hit your lipids. HDL tanks. LDL spikes. It’s not forever, but don’t be dumb and run it blind.

If you’re already on the edge with sleep, food, and energy, don’t expect it to “fix” everything. It’s a sharpening tool, not a life raft.

Don’t use it as a crutch to keep cutting harder. Use it to preserve, not push more deficit.

Suggested Move:
Anavar @ 40--50mg/day, split AM/PM (25/25 or 20/30 split)

Run 8 weeks max, liver support daily (600mg NAC + 250mg TUDCA)

Keep Test Cyp at 200mg/week through the Var

Train like your life depends on it, not your ego

Pull bloods 1--2 weeks post-var to assess recovery before the winter blast

Or do you suck it up and grind clean....
You could. But if you’ve made it this far without cheating, half-assing, or shortcutting, then adding Var now isn’t weakness, it’s war strategy. You don’t show up to the last round of a fight and decide to take off your gloves.

Var isn’t the easy button. It’s the edge you’ve earned.
Pop the hood, check the engine, and if everything’s ready, hit the gas and finish this like a savage.

You’re almost there. Now go close it the fuck out.
Let’s. Fucking. Go!!!!

Go for it. It’ll Increase or at the least let you maintain your strength and help you hold onto more muscle. It’s not going to really help you lose fat though but it seems like you understand that And your using it to preserve muscle. There is atleast one study out there that showed the people in the group taking anavar lost more mid section fat than the other groups not taking it. So that’s always good,

Just know it’s going to crush your lipids. So load up on cholesterol supplements. Really need to start them ahead of time to be really effective but they’ll still help.

This is diet fatigue. There's a reason you can just diet forever until you hit your goal weight, you have to diet in cycles. Once T3 drops from prolonged dieting your thyroid doesnt work like it normally does, to the point where the scale stops moving no matter how many calories you cut or drugs you run. Cortisol increases, you feel like you have no energy, stressed out, and you lose strength. Your ability to process sex hormones, Test, DHEA, Estrogen, plumits. Even if you are feeding it more and more test, your body doesnt have the same ability it once had to process it. Like everyone else said, take a break. Get bloodwork done and wait for your body to come back to normal levels so its ready to burn fat. Most cutting cycles have T3 and T4 supplements built into them, so that you are able to delay this from happening a little longer. Basically your body is in survival mode, its going to hang on to the amount of fat it has beacuse it thinks if it loses it, it will die. It sucks but if you take a month off and eat at maintenance, you'll restore it and you'll be good to go. This is why carb cycling is the most preferred way of dieting. You have low days for burning fat, medium days for burning fat, and high days to speed up the metabolism and restore T3, T4, Glycogen, hormones, so that they never dip low enough to shut down. The good news is, once you come back from taking a break you feel like superman, your muscles pop from being full of glycogen, and the scale might say the same from when you first initatied the break but you look great. Its funny, if I diet too hard without taking care of my body, my abs will disappear even at very low body fat even with 2 or 3 high days, then when I take a break, they pop right back out at higher body fat. Retas appetite suppression wares off pretty quick, so it would be a good time to stop all the fat burners, drop the reta to a very low dose, drop the clen if youre taking that, and just enjoy life eating at maint with tons of carbs from fruit, honey, canned fruit, rice, cream of wheat, grits, etc.

Thanks for the very detailed response.

Have you tried a refeed/carb cycling?

Eat at maintenance calories for a bit, but with low fat and high carbs (obviously high protein). Give your metabolism a shock and let it know you’re still the boss.

Im probably due for a refeed. The reta makes that a tall mountain tho haha. But you're probably right

Var won’t make you lose any extra fat or give you energy. Just do what @anvil said. I’m on cardarine, SLU, HGH, and Reta right now. Gonna add 5amino soon. Been the easiest and fastest cut to single digit bf so far for me. Oh and I’m just on cruise dose. I don’t do “cutting” cycles. Cycles are for bulking only. Only competitors need cycles for cutting, because they need a certain look. Us non competitors are just trying to cut some fat.

What is this injectable vitamins you say? Haha. Injectable vegetables? Jkjk. In your estimation, would adding a stack like that be safer than 8 weeks of anavar?

Milfpounder's picture

Hot beef injection! Ahahaha breakfast club dude. Yea it I could just get some goddamn energy i wouldn't even be considering anavar. Can I friend you and ask for a source?

Milfpounder's picture

No "cycles" for me yet per se. I think 200/wk test is quite a ways over trt but not a big boy cycle. Puts me at about 1735 test. Also I am already using reta.

Aggieguy's picture

Reta should work man, how much are you taking? I am on 3mg a week and I have gone down 30lbs in two months. You can start Var but just know it can make lipids and all go up.

Oh yah the reta friggin WORKS. I'm doing 2mg/wk for now. Been on it 1.5 weeks and lost 4 lbs this week alone. I'm just struggling with the muscle loss. It pains me greatly to go down in weight/reps. I realize that's part of the deal. But the energy being low as well is kinda compounding things.

Aggieguy's picture

Ok here is what you need to do. When you eat it needs to be a protein and also drink whey protein at least once a day and workout constantly and it will prevent muscle loss and you will gain muscle. That is what I have been doing.
