So the Secret service has rushed Former President Trump off of stage at his rally after an active shooter situation. I'm just now seeing the news on it and it does look like he's bleeding from the face or ear. Now I'm no Trump or Biden guy but this is 100% wrong plain and simple. I've said before, after he gets elected there would be problems but I didn't expect this at all. Like I said it's wrong for anyone to suggest assignation of Biden or Trump. But not sure why this surprises me because there has been soo much damn hatred from both sides which has been made obvious, hell a blind man can see that. Anyways no karma needed just comment if you feel need to or don't comment. We're living in horrible times.

The real story here is how the Secret Service once again failed to do the one job they have: Protect.
Besides not securing surrounding buildings, allowing Trump to stand back up and fist-pump like a moron was another failure of their job to protect - What if there was a second shooter in the midst? A third? A real coordinated assassination attempt rather than a poorly trained lone gunman? Let's be real: If this was a professional hitjob Trump would be dead - 50 cal shot to the chest rather than missing a headshot.
The White House needs to reassess their training for the Secret Service because in the current day and age there is no excuse, we have more resources and technology available to keep presidents/politicians safe than ever. Political violence has been happening for thousands of years all over the world, it is to be expected, so all there is to do is try our best to prevent it.
That all being said, I condemn the shooter but cannot feel sympathy for Trump. He is lucky to be alive due to the shooter's incompetence. The aura of violent rhetoric he spews constantly, the lack of sympathy he has shown for gun violence victims, and joking about Pelosi's husband being nearly killed has finally come back to bite him in the ear.
The unfortunate consequence of this event is that conservatives could be prone to commit violent acts more than usual which fuels the fire in an already chaotic election environment - the flames need to be put out before anything spreads and more people get hurt, if we are a civilized society then we must learn from this and solve our issues with votes on election day.
The words the real story kind of made me think for a second. I'm going to see what bills currently made it through Congress or the Senate or maybe introduce to Congress the day Trump got shot. I bet I see something that they're trying to hide.

We can go back and forth but examples can definitely be brought up from both sides. The problem I'm seeing is examples are being ignored....why? I don't understand lol. Bring all the crap to the table....no need to leave anything out. I have friends from both sides that have mentioned violence towards the other side so it's not as if I'm making things up. Basically it's what my ears hear and what my eyes see and both are pretty good with no loss of sight or hearing lol. But before even sending message he couldn’t get his emotions in check and started spewing about Paul Pelosi of all people, and how Trump said something that wasn’t really that bad, but he added his own context to try and convince you it was. Then if that wasn’t enough, he decides to take a shot at the political party which he obviously doesn’t represent, by claiming they are already violent enough, while completely ignoring or downplaying all the chaos, mischief and violence that the other side (presumably his) has been involved in. I don't think it's reading too much into it to say that his comments show a blatant disregard for the seriousness of the situation while implying he hasn't cared enough to ask about how his rival's husband is doing after the attack. Not sure about the bleach comment context since I couldn't bring myself to watch the debate, but my point was about the response to violence against political rivals (p.s. Biden immediately condemned this attack against Trump, as he should).
I think a lot of the difference in opinion on the vitriol/violence is simply from where you get your news sources from, one side is obviously going to imply they are the "good guys" and the other side are the "bad guys" by providing whatever information they come across to support their stance. Not isolated to the current American political climate either, it's happening everywhere and has been for all of human society.
My simplest counterargument is the following: We all watched Trump as he directed his supporters towards the Capitol on Jan 6 telling them to fight to take the country back. He did NOTHING to tell them to stop for hours on end as violence continued and congress was in danger, he never called in the national guard and was forced to reluctantly tell them to 'go home' after the situation was getting under control. People can play dumb all they want, I watched it happen with my own two eyes and ears. He told them to attack, so they did. There is no excuse. How anyone can still support him is something I will never understand, Republicans should have chosen someone else to get behind after all that but ultimately stuck with him anyways.
