+ 7 About to be 41 and wanted to share my progress
Like the title says I'm turning 41 this year and wanted to share my progress. A little background I have noticed myself loosing motivation and drive and putting on weight since my early 30's and at 38 I finally got my test levels checked, 3 different sets of labs showed high 300's low 400's this being the low end of normal my DR wouldn't even consider TRT. I waited another 6 months and I found an online TRT clinic that agreed even though my levels were in the "normal" range I could still benefit from TRT because I was having symptoms of low T. The clinic put me on 150mg every 7 days and within the first 3 months I was feeling like myself again I had more motivation more drive more energy and just an overall better outlook on life and I had actuallystarted exercising again and going jogging with my wife, but then the provider started dropping the ball on refills and I would go weeks without test and my levels would crash and I would feel like shit again and I wouldn't even be able to force myself to exercise, this went on for about a year before I decided to take my treatment into my own hands. I found this community and read everything I could and reasurched as much as I could finding a good domestic source and have been doing amazing for the last 6 months. I have been working out 5 days a week and doing at least 30min of cardio every day, I still do cardio even on my rest days because I need to get rid of this damn muffin top. I am 5'6" 180lbs when I started seriously exercising I am still 180lbs I haven't dropped any weight but I have dropped 2 pant sizes and overall I look a lot more lean than when I started and my shoulders have a more broad appearance and my biceps have grown an inch and a half they went from 13-1/2" flexed to 15". Originally I had planned to try to get back to 160lbs which is what I had been most of my life until I got into my 30's but I think my plan now is to try to stay at 180lbs while leaning out and building muscle. I am not where I want to be but I feel like in the last 6 months sourcing good ugl test and doing my own labs I have made a lot more progress than I did the first year on TRT through a clinic. As of now I am doing 150mg test c split m/w/f and 25mg var ed I plan on running it for 7-8 weeks, I added the var 10 days ago to try to help burn some fat and for joint and tendon repair and can already feel the difference. I kept seeing people talk about the back pumps from it and now I know what they are talking about, on back days or days I go harder on cardio my spinal electors feel like overinflated ballons and on arm days by biceps feel like I'm wearing pool floaties. The first picture is a few weeks before Christmas last year and the second picture was 2 days ago right before my workout. I feel like went from being dumpy and clearly out of shape to someone who at least cares about their appearance.

Here's one without the shirt, this one makes me a little uncomfortable. I have some body dysmorphia, I had a surgery when I was a teen to have a lymph node removed in my right armpit and it caused asymmetry in my chest. My wife says she doesn't notice it but to me it's the first thing I see when I look in the mirror.
Take your shirt off, you made a lot of progress and the tank is hiding it.
Are still pinning once a week?
I'm pinning 3 times a week, I had switched to 2 times a week and last time I got labs done E2 was at 53pg/ml so I switched to 3 times a week to try to control it, I'm not having any sides but I don't want it to get any higher.
Don't know your ester but these doctors saying pin Even cypionate once a week or I've even heard once a month is literally fucking absurd! Check out steroid plotter dot com and check out the valleys and peaks. Good for you on 3x a week, better results less swings and fluctuations.
It's test cyp, the DR told me to pin once every 14 days but I never did that I had reasurched enough beforehand to know that's a shit protocol even at once a week I was starting to feel a little off before my next pin.
Not the low end of normal. Just gotta go to gym with a real hard attitude to make early 40s your bitch. Get a nutritionist to dial a diet. Get friendly with that mean nasty stairmaster. Know aerobic vs anaerobic cardio. You got this!
Nice work brother and congrats on the progress! And I love hearing stories like this. All too often docs get it wrong and either hand out pills when the right advice is starting with exercise and reevaluating after that or in cases like yours, drop the ball entirely with prescription TRT. Lots of rules in insurance and TRT clinics don’t always get it right either, as was your experience. As long as you take a responsible approach, which it sounds like you are, good ugl’s you can find here can fix a serious flaw in the dr-based system. Good advice would be to get some of your own bloodwork done periodically now that you’ve taken matters into your own hands. Keep up the hard work and thanks for sharing!
Oh shoot! Cuz is rocking the g-unit wifebeater! Good progress, go treat yourself to some muscle tanks. Keep up the hard work!
Oh shit! Good eyes lol
I've been wear the g-unit wifebeater for a while, they are thicker than the hanes wifebeater and do a better job of keeping my pistol from chafing my stomach when I conceal carry
anvilKeep training and you'll be worrying about your thighs chafing and the only guns you will need will be attached to your shoulders..
I hit the streets looking similar brother. 30 yrs old, TRT got me going again.. I understand the med thing. I was on zyprexa and literally abusing it to just sleep. Haven't touched that shit in three years. Keep it pushing
First thing you should do is wash that tank and put it in the draw. Your a bodybuilder now. Go get ya one of those new shirts and show your results off. I see the traps and delts growing.
Thanks for the encouragement I know I still have a long way to go but I am happy with the progress I've made, not just physically but mentally. I've been on antidepressants since my late 20's after being diagnosed with bipolar II disorder and after getting on TRT and being consistent with it I stopped my meds and haven't looked back and don't feel any need for them I am happier than I have been my entire life. I almost feel like the depression in my 20's was one of the first sings of my testosterone levels declining.
Next time remove the tank and everything else. I'm trying to take see it all, as a whole, just take it all in... Sup
anvilKeep on it my guy, nice progress.
Definitely can see an improvement. Hard work pays off bro, respect for putting some in. Keep pushing, don’t take your foot off the gas and you’ll be amazed by where you can end up
