I’m not a movie goer like I used to be. I understand people have daughters, immature wives trying to relive their childhood. I recently had a plethora of people try to justify why they paid their hard earned salary to watch the movie Barbie. If another person tells me I need to watch Barbie due to philosophical implications, I will ask them to forget I exist.

I didn’t see it but based on feedback, it’s a feminist movie generalizing men as simple minded egocentric beings and how they should become submissive and emasculated. Meanwhile, females are privileged to be entitled and judgmental. If this triggers you, I will feel fulfilled.

But my wife and her girlfriends dressed up in pink skirts and heels or wedges and went to see the movie.. when she cam home she told me drop to me knees and stick my tongue out and she walked in front of me and put my head under the skirt. I'll probably get some hate for this, and that's fine, but am tempted to voice my opinion here as that is the purpose of an open forum. I personally find it funny how so many men have such a strong hate for the movie (when they haven't seen it) and are so vocally against seeing the movie because of the fear that it will damage their fragile masculinity. God forbid they see the movie and they will lose their "man points," having such a concern for what others might think of them for seeing such a girly movie. I am not a fan of all the political stuff either and am personally on the same side as a lot of you guys, but I also know how to just turn my brain off and not be ultra sensitive or offended by their supposed political agenda and just enjoy the movie. It was definitely not a movie for kids, and I didn't feel like they were throwing a bunch of political nonsense in my face, and I was not triggered or offended in any way. I found the movie really funny and enjoyable, and no i'm not afraid to lose my "man points". I'm not saying you should see it, and I understand your frustration with being pushed to watch the movie, hence the post. But I do think there are way too many men out there who are so afraid of their masculinity somehow being damaged or being judged just for watching a movie, that in a way, it actually makes them less masculine. Just my opinion.
