+ 5 What’s on your Workout Playlist?

ad

So here’s a topic we don’t really touch on too often.
Workout music, and how important it is in helping you have a successful workout.

I don’t know about you guys, but music is very important to me when working out. Music can make a major difference in my workouts. I try to take certain songs that have had an impact on me throughout my life. Some songs are new, some are old, but they all serve their purpose when strategically placed in my play list. I try to create a build that takes me to the next level as every song passes. It also helps me gauge how far along I am in my workout. Certain songs are placed in certain spots because they give me that extra emotional push that I need to prevent me from getting lazy or toning down my workout. God forbid I forget to charge my headphones, and I’m forced to listen to the gym’s music. My whole workout can be effected in a very negative way.

So what’s your favorite workout song?

Me too! I really liked Papa Roach back then too

SUFFOCATION ..... NO BREATHING!!! Jesus bud I know they sound a bit corny now but back then they were brilliant. Lovehatetragedy was my favourite album - the way it was produced and the tracks on it were incredible. Cos Life is a Bullet hahaha Music 2

New Found Glory were another of my favourite bands at that time - Fair to say I was into Happy metal then LOL Sum 41 - Does this look Infected

'Forget to remember' - FUCKING AWESOME TRACK!!

Pretty much all the Pantera stuff was brilliant, one of my favourite bands growing up. Darrell was waayyyyy beyond his years and tbh the whole band were, I was gutted when he was shot.

Yep some Arsehole just walked up and shot him dead on stage, all that talent and future ahead over in a second. The next band that came along for me that sounded like them were 5FDP, very tight similar guitar sound and singer style. Way of The Fist and War is the Answer are just awesome albums, American Capitalist and the next one - Not a fan at all of their latest stuff. I am sure you are aware of them but if you came along during their middle albums then defo look back at the first 2 as they were the best!!

Killswitch reminds me of going to Music college studying music production, and then through out most of my twenties, brilliant band. BUT BRING BACK HOWARD!!! LMAO

Despayre's picture

Howard is doing better without them anyway.. Have you listened to the album he did with Jared Dines? Collab was called Sion. It's pretty good imo

I have a Light the Torch album and Devil You know - Or should I know say I listen to them on spotify LMFAO Times a changing eh?! Yeh his days with KSE were easily there best years for me - so melodic and awesome rather than the shitty screaming Jesse crap. I do like some of Jesses songs but nothing like Howards - the whole band just seemed to get better for having him with them. I was amazed they took him back tbh, it was almost like they took him back just because he was the original singer rather than being the better singer. I imagine Howard was the much nicer person too.

I didn’t know you produced. I use to produce a little back in the Techno days. My buddy and I were DJ’s and bought a bunch of producing equipment. My SP1200 was my favorite. I ended up getting married and leaving the scene. My best friend kept going and became famous on the Hardcore Techno scene.. he goes by DJ Delirium

I'm to cheap to pay to download any songs so I am stuck with whatever comes up on my app. Lol

Where's 'Caught Somewhere in Time' and 'People = Shit' HAHAhahaha

Crossfade are a wicked band if you are into Shinedown too - 'So Coolllllddd!!!' lol

JakeKO's picture

I’m definitely a Crossfade fan too. Those are just the top songs on my playlist. There are a lot more, and sometimes I shuffle to change it up, but for my most intense workouts, it’s those songs, in that order.
