+ 1 Sweating after 1st shot??

ad

So i did my first shot this evening and within seconds of pulling the needle out, i got extremely lightheaded and started profusely sweating, as if i had just finished running a 10k.

A member on here suggested that i may have nicked a vein, so thats possible but i didnt get nauseated after.

Anyways, ive tried researching it on google and cant really find anything so im wondering if anyone had experienced this before?

Im not really stressed out or worried about it, but just figured id ask the more seasoned guys. Smile

I gave a buddy his first shot once and he passed out and busted his eye on my kitchen table.. fell right out. I thaught he waa joking firsr, like he jokin about passin out but then down he went... so i guess some peopke are terrified of needles or deep im injects..

Thank you everyone for your responses! Its made me feel much more at ease. Came to the conclusion that it was one of the biggest adrenaline surges ive ever had in my life. But its out of the way now and i can move forward with the cycle knowing the yips are over with. Smile not even going to hesitate when doing my 2nd shot this week.

That's absolutely true. Years ago my ex had a panic attack - to me it was the classic symptoms of a heart attack. Raced her to ER and they monitored her for a while - BP, heart rate, body temp slowly dropped without drugs. Diagnosis - panic attack. They were really professional about it. Scared the shit out of me and my ex though.

Just before I moved to the Phils I was dealing with a lot of stuff from work and other areas. One day while driving home from work my heart started to race, I broke out into a sweat, my palms were so wet I could hardly hold onto the steering wheel, I couldn't breathe and when my vision started to go blurry I pulled off to the side of the road. I imagined myself dying of a heart attack in that car on the side of the highway and no-one knowing. I passed out for a few moments and when I came round, I was still there, in my car on the side of the road. No-one knew, no-one cared and no-one to tell. I drove home to an empty house and decided to change my life.

God damn. What did you do to change it? Less stressful job or is that what inspired the move?

I’m so lucky that I don’t get anxiety. My fiancé gets it bad. Keeps her up all night worrying about random shit that doesn’t really need worrying over. I feel for you guys.

I took voluntary early retirement. Sold everything and moved to the Philippines with two suitcases. Played around for awhile, met a lovely lady and eventually settled down with her. I'm pretty happy now. My only real worry is making my money last - no government pension.

As Jay says - I don't claim to have anxiety, although I am like your fiance - I do tend to worry about random shit, and I'm also a ruminator - I go over things in my head constantly. We all have out personality flaws. All of this could have been a contributing factor to my heart condition over time, as well as the other causes.

Dang man! Haha that was totally me. I started sweating and fading out, reached for my phone, dialed 911 and didnt hit the call button, went and laid down.

Was crazy, but at least its out of the way now. - really feeling that PIP the day after and 2 days in. Starting to go away now.

tyler0628's picture

Thats the best way i could describe it was "fading out". As if my vision was starting to go. I knew once i heard the buzzing in my ear that i just got a massive adrenaline rush.

Sounds like an anxiety attack!

at least you didn't pass out and knock yourself on the head like some people have done.

My buddy did that in my kitchen! Clipped the side of his orbital on the edge of the table going down and was leaki.....we laughed about it later becausevthe cut looked very similar to mike tysons tribal face tat and it was in a similar spot

Oh dude... i was super close to blacking out. I had the same ringing in my ears and blurred vision i get when i used to get in fights downtown. And then i took a deep breath and i was good. Haha

I swear that the 1st shot that I ever took of Deca made my heart beat faster, that was weird but I survived

Probably adrenaline from being nervous.

DfromPhilly's picture

Lol sounds like it was just nerves man. You’ll be fine.

lol you had a straight up panic attack dude, everything your describing is induced by spiking cortisol and adrenaline.

I would say it has nothing to do with the gear or how you injected.

tyler0628's picture

Well, on the bright side, i now know what a panic attack feels like. Lol

Same thing happened to me it wasn’t my first time but a couple months into my first cycle I felt a slight shock in my quad and got the sweats and light headed I had to lay down on my couch it went away in a few minutes. The only other time I got light headed was when I pulled a pin out of my delt and seen blood squirt across the fucking room lol that was anxiety though your all good bro no worries

Pin quads with a 23 after training legs.... blood geyser almost everytime....

anxiety....

press1's picture

X2 I had this after my first ever shot with all the apprehension and nervousness built up of not knowing what to expect - then the sudden hit of some of the hormones hitting your system which its never ever experienced before will more than create a physical reaction. It does go after the first few shots and becomes just as normal as going to the toilet Lol

Blaaahdk's picture

I Got really overexited the first month of injecting just because i was really scared of it but Got used to it over time though

tyler0628's picture

Roger. I did my aspiration and didnt see blood. Smile

Brother, I gotta invoke occam’s razor here. I think you were just nervous and the sudden switch from the anxiety of your first shot to relief after getting the needle in caused a rapid reaction in your body. Sure, you’re injecting exogenous hormones, but you’ve still got the surges of endogenous hormones like epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol, and dopamine all going on with it. Believe me, if you got a significant amount of hormone in a blood vessel, you’d know. It would be a lot worse than what you’re describing
