+ 2 What's your favourite Carbohydrate Food/Drink?

ad

I know its often a debated topic as some members love their carbs and others hate them or just don't require that much to function.

I need a lot throughout the day to build any kind of muscle having such a fast metabolism which is a bit of a pain as you end up having less room for probably more important protein. Anyhow, I just wondered what everyone's favourite sources are in terms of food and drink if you if you could only have 1 choice for each?!

For me food wise it would have to be a white jacket potatoe as they are just invaluable for a good training session and keep you mentally alert, drink choice it would be Lucozade which is a popular energy drink in the U.K. Not sure if its available in the U.S yet, I think it maybe.

Always take advantage of your purchasing power. Also there are almost too numerous varieties to even mention. Do a little research and you can find some great local varieties.

Oat meal is good in shakes. But gram crackers is freaking delicious. Got that gem from reading one of makwas posts.

Food - long grain white rice or oven chips(fries) as a treat.

Drink - powdered porridge oats - great for first thing in the morning when my stomach isn’t quite ready to eat

Ya know that's something I've never even thought of putting a few jackets in the crock pot with some chicken - I bet they are damn fine after 8 hours! In fact I haven't used it in years - brilliant for chilli con carne and bolognaise sauces :))

Seeing as the baseline for ground meat from retailers is 80/20 , essential ground chuck. Yet everyone eats the ground but no bodybuilders ever think about making the whole joint roast. You should think about considering using your crockpot for one of those. Load in some potatoes, onions, carrots, and a chuck roast and you would be gtg. Something to consider since you have such a useful tool in a crock.

Crockpot is my jam. So many options, and meals for throughout the week.

Gona look into the roast. I used my crockpot yesterday for some chili. Thanks for the info
