Injection redness and burning while injecting

What the hell just happened? I was injecting test c 200mg into my delt with a half inch slin. About half way through the injection it started burning so bad i had to stop. Its the worst pain and burn I've felt. It immediately turned my whole delt red and hot. It has stopped hurting about now about a half hour later but still red. Can someone tell me what happened. Ive injected in that spot many times. Its the same test ive been using. Im scared to put the rest in the other delt for fear of it doing the same thing.

Ur not pinning deap enough into the muscle.
1in pin is normal size to pin.
A slin pin is normally used for peptide or hgh in the stomach area to pin.
If ur lean enough a slin pin is ideal but I'm afraid of it bending on me so I stick to 1in pins.
I've had exactly the same thing happen to me only once before and it was the most painful experience I've ever had in hundreds of injections. I was doing ventro glute with a 25g and the intense burning came on half way into the injection, like someone was holding a blow torch inside my muscle. Almost started screaming in pain and had to pull out it was SO bad, and only after about 10 minutes did the pain stop. All the area came up purple and bruised within 20 minutes - the whole experience made me almost want to stop pinning. I can only assume I went into a major vein/nerve but damn I hope it never happens again! I'm sure it will at some point though lol
JayD718Have you been using that same size pin with your prior injections? You said half inch "slin pin", which to me, would suggest that you're a half inch insulin pin, right? I don't even know how you're using a half inch insulin pin to inject an oily solution, but you really should be using, something like a 22 or 23 gauge, 1 inch, intra-muscular syringe for your delts.
Maybe, you're not injecting deep enough because of the inadequate sized pin, and that's what's causing the burning, painful sensation! You could of just been lucky until this point, and this time the injection didn't get deep enough into the muscle. Try switching to the size syringe that I suggested, and see if you notice a difference.
RustyhookerI prefer a 25x1. A 22/23 is too 1980's . Scartissue etc ruins a good pin.
I use a 29 x 5/8 slin pin for short esters in small cc amounts. Its simple and easy if you have skills. And knowing which oils are water thin helps. Some folks backload. I use patience. Or switch tips.
A 25 ga for long time gearheads is much easier imo.

RustyhookerIve seen luer locks with many options. Then you can draw with a 23 and inject much smaller. I prefer longer than half inch or you get subq burn.
I really like a 25x1 as my go to.
Thin oils flow thru a slin 29 easily unless youre in a rush. But it depends on what the use it.

I guess it had to be a nerve. Yes it was the same vial. It was almost empty. After about 3 hours the redness went away. It took about an hour to stop burning fully. I decided to hit the other delt with the rest and it went smooth. That shit was horrible. My delt was on fire like 1000 bee stings all at once and burning hot. I pray that never happens again.
Ive hit a nerve in my quad and it felt more like an electric shock than anything. Stung a bit afterwards but definitely wasnt hot and red. I got burning and stinging by injecting my delt without the alcohol drying completely before pinning. I know its the same test but is it the same bottle? Either way strange. Let us know how the next one goes

Never halfway thru pinning tho and the red delt would be freakin me out. I’d keep an eye on that closely over the next 24 hours. I’d be interested to know if it’s the same vial too.
I’ve never hit a nerve in my delt tho so maybe that’s it like these guys said. Just keep an eye on it an be careful.
I never hit a delt nerve either but I'll tell u what.. last Thursday I must of clipped a vein cuz man did I bleed all over the place Lol.. shit happens..i get good pin days and bad pin days they're all different

Yea i've had the same thing happen. Never ended up with the tip in one, but definitely have passed through and suffered the cleanup afterwards lol

Yup, that quad poke was the worst! Instant reaction...pulled the pin out so fast it flung across the room.
I've never hit a nerve in the delt either, could very well be how that area of the body reacts
I've noticed the higher I go on quads the better. like a hands width away from my dick if i'm sitting down when I pin the outer top portion (rectus femoris). Also have never hit a nerve on the side of my quad (vastus lateralis). Honestly I have 8 spots I hit on my quad cuz it's such a large muscle. The top end and bottom end of the safe zone for both rectus femoris (outer half) and vastus lateralis on each leg. Rectus femoris is the only one that can get dicey with nerves for me, and as long as I stay out of the middle zone and only go like 3/4 of an inch in for the bottom zone i'm usually nerve free.

Had to be a nerve. It has happened to me and hurt like I was injecting hot water. It will subside. Try ibruprofen for pain relief and to control swelling.
What helped me also I massaged the area.

That’s a nerve. I’ve had some of the gnarliest shit happen in my delts. I don’t even fuck with them anymore. I hope one day to bring them back, but I have a lot of bad memories. I’ve gotten the burning sensation in my gluteus before. It’s stupid painful.
Had to be a nerve. Went ahead and did the rest in the other delt with no issue. Not a sub q leak. I have no fat in my delts. Im pretty slim. A half inch needle goes plenty into the muscle.
