Testosterone levels at 30 ????

ad

Hey everyone! New to this board but figured id come and try and get some knowledgeable advice. Ive been currently off cycle for 8 weeks. I did a pretty lengthy test E cycle. 16 weeks at 750mg then about 6 weeks at 125mg. Did 1mg arimidex all the way through. Did 3, 000 IU HCG prior to my last shot...Waited about 14-16 days to start PCT which was 50mg Clomid for 5 weeks then 2 weeks at 25mg (sides got too harsh and dealing with a loss while emotional on clomid was ROUGH) along with 25mg Nolvadex for 5 weeks. I got my blood work back and it showed

Total Testosterone : 30.44
Free Testosterone: 10.50
FSH: 0.1
LH: 0.0
Estrogen : 10.8

Everything was pretty in check. Kidney slightly high (assuming due to nolvadex) my cholesterol was slightly high.

Im more confused how my testosterone is SO LOW but yet my sex drive is still there and GOOD. have no issue getting it up. My strength loss in the gym was minimal, i still lift 5-6x a week. Workouts are still intense, pump is still good. My energy is pretty good. Im still getting my 6 diet meals down a day...any input on this?

By my fsh and lh still being shut, does that indicate my clomid may be bunk? Or should i run more clomid? Would maybe doing 125mg test every 7-10 days help out? Any answers or advice is greatly appreciated !

Your free test isn’t all that bad of a number

Quick question from me. Did you use pharma or UGL clomid and nolva? I am surprise to see the low LH/FSH numbers. This looks like a failed PCT to me. I would be thinking about running a second PCT if it was me. Based on those numbers you’ve got no signalling from your pituitary so this needs to be rectified ASAP!!!

Ntw241's picture

Thats what my main concern is! Ivd cycled before and usually always within a few weeks my FSH & LH both show signs of life. I used UGL clomid and nolva. The nolva i believe was good due to my estrogen being in the 10 range. But im thinking my clomid was bunk. Im wondering if i should run HCG again being that im still shut down then restart nolva & clomid?

Dacky's picture

There’s where you went wrong. Only pharmaceutical grade ancillaries and PCT meds. Your estro levels will not be affected by Nolva. That’s not how it works. Your estro is low because your test is low - there is nothing to aromatise.

You probably don’t need the HCG to be honest you’re a young guy and should bounce back well. Just run the following PCT - pharma only:

Clomid 100/100/50/50
Nolva 40/40/20/20

Wait 8 weeks after finishing and pull bloods to check recovery.

Good luck.

Lmaooo i think an 8 yr old has more than that!! Yeah thats whats most odd to me is how its so low but yet i have energy, sleep good, work out good, good pumps, strength is still good, diets still good. I did notice i gained fat rather very quickly...thats about it. I see people complain about energy and all that with levels around the 200’s!

Well, if you are feeling pretty good then why would you want to hop on trt? Don't be hung up on a number, if you are feeling good and healthy that is what matters, not some number on a piece of paper.

Dacky's picture

Yes I 100% agree but I don’t think trt is really the goal here from the discussion. OP seems to be open to advise on running a proper PCT. He feels good/ok but his numbers are very very low and that will eventually hurt in some way. Rusty has suggested a HCG blast then Standard PCT I think a Standard PCT on its own should be fine. I’ll let the OP answer for himself as to what he has decided to do.

Ntw241's picture

TRT is def not the goal here at my age...i think im gunna re do some HCG (give my liver a little break from the orals and being that im still shut down anyway) then re do clomid + Nolva pharma grade only this time for 4-6 more weeks and get my blood work re done. If im feeling this fine with my numbers this low, hopefully this time around PCT will make me just feel even better.

The big question here is what were the precycle levels.

Ntw241's picture

i cant remember off the top of my head because it was a little while back, i lost insurance for a bit but i do know when i came off my cycle before this one after PCT my test levels were around the 150-180 range, my estrogen was good and my FSH/LH showed good signs of life..i dont remember the number exactly but my doctor told me they were back on,running and recovering good. pretty much the complete opposite of everything right now lol. i then lost insurance so went awhile without getting tested again, but i figured if my FSH/LH were working again, a few more months off id get good to get back on to the current cycle i just came off of.

Dacky's picture

Yes it is a good question but at the end of the day the low/non-existent LH/FSH numbers are the real concern. The OP wants kids in the future so this is what need to be addressed ASAP. Provided these can get into range and given he currently has some (albeit low) natty testosterone production spermatogenesis should ensue - as well as getting his natty test levels up. If this can be maintained post cycle then great. He will really need to think about future AAS cycles at least until he’s had children.

Dacky's picture

It happened to me Rusty after my last run and now I’m on trt. Sex drive was the last thing to go but go it did. He’s young so there’s still hope. He needs to get on this ASAP imho.

Dacky's picture

Aha that’s a good point. I assumed it was US. OP.....please clarify.

Your way will of course work no doubt about it.....just not sure it’s necessary given he basically didn’t run a PCT with the likely bunk meds so my thinking is standard PCT should bring him back.

Ntw241's picture

Ah yeah sorry, yeah its US measurements....i gotta get in another appt with my doctor so i can get the pharma meds...seems like so much work on the body to restart itself to go back on in the future :/ but guess thats the price i pay.

I am greatly appreciating all this feedback!!

Ntw241's picture

yeah i definitely at first for a few weeks was feeling massive "brain fog" my memory got pretty bad for a bit, irritable and emotional... i was also dealing with losing a pet of 20 years so between that and my hormones all wacked out, i was kind of a mess. Other than that though, i feel great(ish)! im trying to not let seeing the numbers "get in my head now" sort of using this motivation like, damn!! im doing all this with testosterone lower than my little sister. LOL. Yeah TRT right now is definitely not my motive, was more so seeing other pct options or so...i have an appointment rescheduled so hopefully the doctor will prescribe me some HCG, nolva & clomid...new health insurance so its a new doctor :/

I would echo this also to be honest.

Hello Sir,

From what you have described above your cycle was 22 weeks long therefore recovery time will be longer than usual. Longer your cycle is, longer and harder your recovery is going to be.
Libido aspect is very individual and it is not an indicator.
Monitor your blood work and let your FSH and LH recover to reference range, it may seem long but eventually hormones will be back to normal. In case you decide to administer synthetic Testosterone again now, FSH and LH will drop back to 0 again and you are back to square one, so do not fall in to that trap. Even when Testosterone hormone is back in range it does not mean you are recovered until FSH and LH are in range.
So advice, keep your routine and give your body more time to recover while monitoring your blood work.
From my own experience, myself and other athletes that do few shows close to each other have to extend our cycles and therefore recovery time extends too, no need to panic or stress.
Hope this helps Sir.

Regards

That was also one of my thoughts was to administer a low dose of testosterone to get my levels up, but i dont want to do that being that would make my FSH & LH shut down for almost a year...i dont mind the whole TRT aspect for life, i just want at least one lil child in my future lol. Im thinking it may have been a slight failed PCT, ive done lengthy test cycles and after a few weeks of PCT both fsh and lh show signs of life...this has been my longest PCT length with zero signs of life. And as far as my sex drive, energy, strength and muscle maintenance...that doesnt have to do anything with how much testosterone levels one has?

I never lost my libido before trt. I was in the 200s. Good luck.

Everything is fine, just continue doing what you are doing, and after that do more research on what a cycle is, why taking test shuts you down, and how long after a pct you should see your levels start to come back. If you are 5-6 weeks off pct and your dick works leave it alone and dont try to fix something that isn't broken.
