+ 1 Cycle run by those who've managed to Bench 495?

ad

I'm very interested to know what the Elite few that have managed to press 5 plates a side were running at the time? I realise its going to be a lot easier for someone who weighs 280 rather than 220 to do this and inevitably therefore the amount of gear involved will be much less but really interested to know. I've recently read Larry Wheels the 21yr old powerlifter who pushes 600lbs+ @242 only runs 500mg Test and 150mg Anadrol per day but just can't believe this to be possible.

So if they guys (much respect to) who've done this could be really honest I'd be very grateful in the knowledge.

One of the most insane things I've recently seen:

he did say he was using all that but he did say he got fucked up aswell if you watch all the video!! those doses tatal at 2750mg pw !! even those numbers are low for the things the guy does!! I know people run more than him and they are not even close to his lifts or physic!! the guy is definitely a freak of nature!!

press1's picture

Hey man at least your honest! I like it lol

I've seen many a time the heavier guys saying if you wanna bench more then just focus on putting a tonne of weight on, thats the easiest way to do it. Looking at your profile you do have some montrous genetics though! Smile

and my biggest numbers on bench was 190 kg for 3 clear reps @104 kg bodyweight ,was using 200 test e 300 tren e and 50 drol pretty much low !! but like someone mentioned below it plays a big role whats in your head ...total game changer!!

press1's picture

My best triple so far is 194kg * 3 @ 85kg bodyweight. Ultimately I've found no matter what, if you are strong enough on the day you'll hit it even if your heads not in it or your form is off etc.

well larry was being birth with tren as his natural hormone not test like us !!the guy is a fucking beast

When I was lifting in that range it was more about the workouts than the drugs. We went low rep and very heavy often.Forced reps and drop sets every workout.I was on test cyp only for most of that period and not very high doses, around 300 mg a week.I did use dbol for about five weeks once back then. Also a low dose compared to what I see people on here doing. Now because of shoulder pain I rarely go over 315 lb.

I have known big guys that were not very strong on a bunch of gear and I have know guys that were super strong on very little. I even know a guy that never went to the gym once in his life and is freakishly strong.

What I am trying to say is that yes the gear you take will help. But someone running a little test could be much stronger than a guys running a bunch of products. We are build differently... So even if you read that this guy can lift 500 lb taking certain gear it does not mean that it will work for you.

I am naturally strong and have no problem pressing 500 lb 6 x on some test and deca. People always ask me, " whats your max"? I tell them, I do not know, I never tried. I am not a power lifter. Just a BB so what do I care about my max...

press1's picture

You must be a very heavy guy to be able to do 500lbs * 6 without really being bothered about it - I don't think even the heaviest of pro powerlifters arrive at this kind of weight without really putting a lot of effort into achieving it...

I've weighed 190 before and hit 405 315 for 18 reps... No half rep BS either...I was just eating alot and whatever I wanted and running test eq and gh

Ronburgundy's picture

I hit 405x1 and 325x9 using sustanon @ 250mg/week. I thought I was pretty strong, but then there was this other guy in my gym who didn't even look like he lifted but would hit 405 for reps--no gear. It's genetics, some guys can bench a lot with or without gear, and some guys can take all the gear in the world and never hit 405, let alone 5 plates on each side. Who gives a shit about bench press, I wish someone wise told me not to worry about it when I was young. I have torn my pec and r/c from benching--now I can't even bench at all. I am in better condition now, so it looks like i can bench more then when I was in my 20's.

Dude I put 365 up on bench press just last week.
Yeah ...
Felt pretty good after wards expecially when the guy I did it for let me stand there and act like I was spotting him.

haha!

You're applying too much of a correlation to the amount of gear that relates to strength. In my experience, the fear is just the tip of the iceberg on a big lift. I've pushed 5 plates on gear and off. I've also failed it on big cycles and lifted it on light cycles. Depends on the day.

giardap's picture

Beast.

Headspace is a massive factor. Muscles and gear dont read plates, but your head sure does
Not to mention all the other factors

5 plates man, fkn hell, savage

press1's picture

I suppose its not even double your bodyweight though is it.

Catalyst's picture

There really aren't many guys who can push twice their body weight. Most that can are lighter guys.

press1's picture

Not true - Look at Jeremy Hoornstra. He presses 675 lbs @ 266 Bodyweight. Meaning over 2.5 times bodyweight and he's a heavy guy..

I know a 26yr old who is completely natty and can rep 405 lbs 3 times. I saw the video and he is 5'6 180 something. He is solid as a rock and takes his training and diet extremely serious. He is completely against using gear.
Its all about dedication training and diet gear is just a little magic fairy dust but isn't always needed.
I should mention he was also a free safety playing college ball for a top school.

Jayzgainz's picture

I spot a guy 29yr old never touched gear does 8-10 of 385, doesnt struggle, im sure he could easily press over 4 but he is a humble guy and is working up to it he says. He has a very unique method where he takes his legs out of the equation so its all chest.

Does he put his feet up on the bench?

helloBrooklyn's picture

It takes a lot of dedication and know how to bench 5 plates, not gear.

BigWA67's picture

Exactly!! It's about hard work dedication good diet not magic oil and pills why do allot of the new guys on eroids believe that gear is some magic potion !!

05cummins's picture

Training and eating right are definitely the key. Some do get lucky though and seem naturally good/ great at certain lifts. Mine is bench ive always been able to bench higher weight than most my size around me but they can probably squat more. It comes down to the hard work you put in across the board for it.

IrishMack's picture

Here you go this is the formula

3cc of test
3cc of tren
3cc of deca
3cc sust
Do this 3 times a week and let the gainzzz begin!!!

DO NOT DO THE ABOVE

You think it takes gear to lift heavy? Lol lots of powerlifters out there who dont do gear and get heavy lifts. If you eat right and train for the sole purpose of bench bragging rights you dont need gear, you need to actually train.

You also need 3cc hat and t-shirt. Without it, you're getting nowhere.

IrishMack's picture

And the 3cc jeep too.

vhman's picture

It ain't the gear! Don't care how much someone takes, it won't let them bench five plates.
Many factors at play and gear is a small part.

Fuck, thats alot of weight, im benching 140kgs so 3 20kg plates and a 10kg on each side- 4 sets of 8.

I thought that was good.

giardap's picture

TheFlash85's picture

140kgs bro.

giardap's picture

70 per side plus the bar??

Catalyst's picture

Flash doesn't need a bar. He just has the plates in his hands.

TheFlash85's picture

Lmao!

giardap's picture

HAHAHAHA

Yessssssssssssss sir!!!! FTW!

TheFlash85's picture

Lol ! I am the twig commander!

I noticed above about legs on bench, what difference does that make? Do you knoa?

The reason im strong on bench is due to busting my leg up real bad, its actually still broken 2 yrs later ive rebroke it twice- i walk on it now.

But i still went to gym everyday in plaster then moon boot and crutches so all i could really do was bench but id always have the legs up in air and i still do.

I just added little by little night by night week by week.

I was benching 7 days a week. Id mix it up aswell as in one night i might chuck just 60kgs on but literally do 120 reps fast on flat then the next night do the same on incline. Then the next two id go 100kgs but do 3-4 of 8-10 really slow and controlled.
Then id add 2.5kgs at a time each time and so on just mixing it up all the time.
Im not even that big these days- i used to be b4 injured, i actually got brain damage at same time so yeah.

Chest size wise is my weakest looking yet my strongest.

My arms and shoulders are mass though.

Jayzgainz's picture

Hell yea it is!
