ad
I found this to be a good read during the current situation, which is what it is aimed at.
If you aren't already signed up with T-Nation they do a very good mailshot once a week on a Sunday evening and there's always about 5 new articles in there, there's something I always find relevant that you'll get something out of :-)

"the average lifter will probably lose between 6 and 10 pounds of muscle mass during a three-month lay off period" T-nation
Yep.... I'm down 8 pounds right smack in the middle, but I'm not sweating it! Muscle memory when I get back in the gym! Good article
Saw this on Sunday too. Good read. ++
The name of the T-nation newsletter is awesome too... "the weekly dose" great branding.

That's kind of what happened to me. In three and a half months, I lost about 6 pounds.
It's okay to decrease your calorie intake, but that's very difficult if you're taking testosterone while you're off training. After the third week the hunger will start to rise anyway (the author recommends it as a maintenance).
I agree with the regular intake of creatine and protein, adding a little home exercise. In my case I was over three months sitting on the couch..lol...and this is a good site to read. +
Glad to hear you are on the mend and have sorted your personal problems out. Just carry on like you are doing and I think you'll become friends with a lot of those people you didn't see eye to eye with before :-)
I suggest you guys start collecting your own gym equipment if you have room.
When I first started I made a squat rack out of 4by4 and 2by4. Worked great.
Creating a real rack is what I've always wanted to do. Without spending too much money. It's nice to be able to train whenever and however you want...without distractions...lol.
AnonI have been doing this for years. Garage sells are the best places to get some cheap used weights.
Relentless458^THIS^ man knows his shit.....
Relentless458Nice, I am liking how they publish knowledge in all aspects of training, going from one spectrum of the sport to all the others. All bases are covered actually, plus if you are not chemically enhanced, you are not singled out. Very nice and informative find Press! Press on! lol 2thumbs up (if I could)
Haha bud! Sorry again for getting the wrong end of the stick - are you still able to train atm or did you mainly go to the gym?
Relentless458No worries man, water under the bridge. Im still training like usual, I did hit the gym alot, but also have a power rack with 900 lbs worth of olympic plates. They had a deal at Dicks for like 300lbs set for $150 and I bought 3 of them, came with bar, but it was crap so I got a Rouge. Got bowflex dumbell goes up to 90lbs and adjustable bench. Cardio wise Ive got a elliptical and cant complain. You?
Nice,,I'm literally in between sets of body weight and resistance band training telling myself I'm getting skinny and fat,, at the same time. Lol!! This is a good little read. +
Good read brother +
I like their publication. They do a good job of not being “pro” natty or “pro” enhanced. They just list options and let you make your own decision. Every once in a while there’s a little shameless promotion of some otc supp but that’s probably just the cost of doing business. Someone’s gotta pay to keep the lights on.

Yeh some of the stuff really is very useful and just when you think you know everything there is always something else that crops up in there that makes you think 'damn I didn't know that! Articles written by all kinds of different people too - Bodybuilders, Powerlifters, Coaches, Nutrition experts.
Its funny as you can tell most of them are on gear and are pro steroids but merely tread round the issue and always give advice on a very neutral level.
