Anyone have this done? Just got results, and its very interesting. My whole life I was told I'm mostly German, Italian and Irish, but mostly German. Also told a splash of Welsh, and even a splash of native american evidenced by "our high cheek bones" lol!
Got the results...I'm mostly British! With Italian coming in at around 30%, German at 20%...no Irish or native american! Lol. My mom was speechless as she always romanticized our native American roots, and i have even been told that's why half my family are alcoholics! Hahaha
PS, I knew there was a reason I never embraced St. Patrick's day.

I have done both ancestry and 23and me. And then uploaded my raw DNA to other sites with different filters. It is pretty cool stuff. There is a lot to it, even full blooded siblings can have vastly different admixture.
I'm no scientist, so my brother could have different percentages than me? Trying to understand how that's possible. Thanks
Each gene set we have are mixtures of recessive and dominant alleles. These combinations decide the expression of our genetic traits. We get one of two from each of our parents. A possibility of 4 different combinations for each of the 20,000 sets out of the 3 million that determine are human traits. I can't even calculate the possible combinations, 20,000 to the 4th power. These allele are passed up from different roots of our genetic tree, hence different mixtures of the allele allow for differing origin percentages.
I am thinking about getting it done, too. Did you change anything you do based on what you learned? If it has usable data I might get it done.
I saw recently in the US that Congress was trying to pass a law making it mandatory to get genetically tested at work. If you don't then you have to pay 30% more for health insurance.
Steroids and GH have no effect on our DNA that I am aware of. So no, I didn't change anything

Steroids activate and even modify gene expression. So, I suppose if the test results identify protein processing genes that are more susceptible to activation by a particular steroid then it may help make our usage of AAS more proficient. Too much for me, but maybe.
Closest thing I got to checking family DNA is when my uncle went on maury and he was the father lol

AnonIve thought about doing it but my mother is a registered native american and my dad is just a normal white dude so I just claim Native American due to my dark skinned crazy unbelievably handsomness.
