so many times users have got a bunch of karma and think they are the shit, untouchable, can tell MODs what to do. I dont know how many people on this site have been banned after getting some karma and breaking rule after rule, started treating people like shit cause they got a tag.
Karma is poison to this site, it makes me sick that people think its worth so much. im tired of the whining, crying, manipulation, lying, dealing, promoting sources, repping, karma bumping clicks, and every other fucking thing that shit promotes. its just a fucking number next to your name! it doesnt make anything more then you are!
I just donated 2118 points to the site, the shit makes me feel like we working against everything were trying to do here, it damn sure isnt making for a safer site. the bads out weigh the goods, all we see is corruption from it.
Im sick of it. I hope we find something better as a site cause this is killing us!

It's best to just give advice on things you have experienced yourself. You yourself have enough experience to have the advanced tag. how about no more promos based on karma and no more promos asking for reviews? if a source wants to run a promo exclusively for former customers that would be fine but otherwise they should just be open to everyone or at least everyone that has been on eroids for at least 6 months or something. i think that would cut down on a lot of the karma whoring around here and people would be a lot less interested in racking up these otherwise worthless points next to our names.

I dont really know about any corruption but when a person who's invested a bit of time over the last three years in sharing honest reviews of sources, sharing honest experiences that I've encountered over my 10+years of AAS usage, etc., accidentally makes an honest mistake by breaking a rule, and without warning goes from a karma of 12 to 3 what sucks now is that person is not really able to participate in certain promos. I could understand if someone were to trespass against the site doing the same thing over again continuously breaking the rules with ill intentions but arent you playing into the very thing you seem to hate by taking karma? Arent sources playing into the karma by requiring this karma stuff? Otherwise I agree and could care less.

These issues with "Karma Points" are many and are complex to rectify.Take for example simple Downvoting for instance.In some cases it is necessary.In others its merely someone whom doesnt agree with what the author may be stating.I mean that is comparable to an individual going about their life everyday and starting an argument with every individual that they are not in agreement with."Karma Points" have evolved to a commodity within this site.Almost as a form of currency in an unintended perverse way .Just like having a large amount of currency in the non digital world isnt necessarily a bad or negative thing , i believe it is what the individual decides to use it for determines if its good or bad.
These issues with "KARMA POINTS" are much deeper than the simple things I have mentioned here.Just like many issues within our society it is my opinion that It is very difficult to legislate human mentality.If something is there that exists , that can be used, exploited etc, there will be some human somewhere ready and willing to do just that.But this is merely my opinion so take it for what its worth.If I woke up tomorrow and all "Karma Points" were removed or abolished I surely would not lose any sleep at all.I would still go about my day helping someone in real life whenever i could.What ever happened to people helping people without earning something in return for doing what everyone should be doing already without saying???

We are all grown ass adults (hopefully) and are worried about the numerical equivalent of our "experience" on this site. It's almost become just AS important, if not MORE important than the sources and gear. We (as a group) have lost sight of the bigger picture.. We need to find it again...

BlutoI have made few thousand off of karma. Now I think I earned that shit unlike some. When the free gear started rolling in I did not feel the need to source nut hug or write bullshit reviews. Matter fact If I did not run the gear and could honestly tell results I never left a review.The source pages I visit never gave me free gear under the table. I never asked for free gear but at one point the pms start from the over seas guys. I decided a long time ago that sure I could make or save a little money but do I really want to be the 1st guy to try out some gear. So free gear was turned down from then on out. I never let karma go to my head nor would I ever. Karma has always been a # and I thought it was worthless except for the ability to get free gear. With a over view I see the major problem with karma is turning people in to arrogant dicks. Member gets so much karma or some tag they think they are better. I say be humble unless you have something that is worth standing up for. Karma and tags just create douches out of good people. It is to easy to use that recognition for profit.

Im not asking anybody to follow me. this is just how I feel....In addition to all the problems karma cause's on this site, there is other things that bothers me about my karma.....like for example, of the 2100 that i had, more then half of it came from doing MOD stuff, not from any experience related to the tag of experienced. That makes ME feel wrong in representing that number, in essence doing my JOB gives me many more options to get karma then regular members, and when I preach things like integrity to the site it makes me feel like im not being honest myself....Also when im running around scolding people for karma related issues, yet sitting on 2100 myself, it makes ME feel like im defeating the purpose...This is just me, I feel much better without that number. As a representative of the site this is how I feel I should be.....it has nothing to do with people grinding on me, just what i believe in.

sure it will not kill all the corruption here, but the vast majority of it. Most of these things that happen here behind karma are from people coming here AND THEN REALIZING that with karma they can be corrupt or MORE corrupt. Plenty of them show up here without the knowledge of how karma works or what can be done with it. ITS THE SITE, THE MEMBERS AND THE SOURCES THAT TEACHES THEM to obtain more karma.
a different system needs to be put in place to get that tag.
something that proves you have the knowledge associated with the tag, not just some knowledge on one thing, not just cause you got great genetics and dont know shit, not just cause your funny, not cause you spend 15 hours a day on the site. Something that shows you got knowledge.
like put together a test of 50 questions, covering different compounds, Ai's, SERM, PCT, Nutrition, Vitamins, peptides, HGH, training, blood tests, and things that are relevant to the success of goals. Based on that test score you get a tag, you can only take the test once a year, set up 3 guys to score the tests and administer the associated tag.
Something that has REAL legitimacy in what you know....keep the karma as a means of how active you are and thats it. you can get karma for any damn thing you want then, because it doesnt effect your tag. you can have 20,000 karma with a basic knowledge tag if you cant get some questions on the test right.
at that point, people might actually study and try to learn in hopes of getting a better tag because there is no other way to get it. Sources can start offering promos based on tag and karma if they want, but the tag of experience will mean more.
Something has to change, it almost did awhile back, I remember a discussion with BFG in the MOD forum where it almost got yanked a couple years ago. and nothing has gotten better since then.
The test idea is great I'm all for that.
