what do you guys mix with your oatmeal?

So tired of eating oatmeal every morning, need to mix it up!

Old fashioned rolled oats cooked in whole milk with dried cranberries or dried cherries, cinnamon and your favorite sweetner (e.g. Truvia), topped with extra milk to cool it down and keep it moist.

I eat my oatmeal raw with water mixed, I put it in a 2 cup containeradd a little warm water shake and eat it on the way to the gym. Doesn't bother me, the uncooked facter makes it lower glycemic. When I did add stuff it was a bannana, craisins or raisins. I stopped the raisins and craisins cause I heard they were high in iron and seems how I don't bleed once a month I don't need the exta iron, I know that's the case with raisins not sure on the craisins but didn't wanna take any chances. I've added natural peanut butter when I know I won't be eating for lil while to keep the hunger pangs at bay. I've also added greek yogurt, that was prolly my favorite thing to add.

Yea I must be screwed up in the head cause I look forward to my oats. I was eating 4 cups a day when I was bulking. I eat real bland from chik brst right down the line. If I eat something either spicy sweet or salty its like damn shock to my senses and more intense than if my diet wasn't bland. When you start cutting sodium its a practically impossible to find stuff, and you have to open to some but you know that its in most everything. I got the wife looking at the labels and she's floored at how much they put in stuff. That cubed ham is prolly the highest something like 4000 mgs.

almond extract, cinnamon, equal, n raisins, sometimes cranberries, fresh blueberries? Sometimes i cut up apples. I use mine as like a dessert. So I have chix or fish n veggies then the oatmeal for dessert. tastes like a cookie to me. Maybe I was raised on cheap oatmeal cookies though too? Lol

Stay away from instant oats.

I go to the bulk bins and get equal parts of steal cut, thick cut, old fashioned, rolled oats, and barley. I then mix them together and keep them in one container.

when making the blended oatmeal I add cinnamon and unflavored whey and a little 1% milk.

Yeah I was doing peanut butter for several months got burned out on it but it does help get it down, and its still my go to every few days!

I just throw it in the blender with my protein shake and chug away. When i do cook it i use some cinnamon and or a pack ot two of equal.

I defiently agree with that..... If you buy the plain instant oats same thing they are just ground up so they cook faster. So they mix nicely in a protien shake and just drink it down!!! Has saved me alot of pain and suffering. so figured Id share.

just smashed a pack not 5 min ago, they were the natural raw oats with flax in the little pack. Ate them dry, just rip off the top, grab some of the splenda brown sugar dash a little on top and crunch away. Gives it a better texture. Eating mashed oats year after year had to change.

I use sugar free syrup. I like a bit of peach with mine. Sometimes vanilla. Anything to take away the plain aspect.

Sometimes just cinnamon, and sometimes cinnamon and my protein powder instead of having a shake with it.
