light weight, many reps? need advice

ad

Ive just ran about a 20 week cycle, Which all was heavy weight. I made very great gains. I took a off cycle, and now I just got some sustanon in. I was planning on doing a.bulking cycle. Honestly, im pretty tired, my body hurts, my joints hurt, and i just started a.job which is non stop lifting all day...I would be ok if I didn't lift anything heavy for a while...my fear is.that I will lose my gains. Does anyone have any advice? If i switch to light wieght for a while, how long should I do it for? And is it pointless to run sustanon if i just lift light weight like that?

nothing wrong with a deload period where you lift lighter weights. i also have a labor intense job and have to work around it as far as lifting goes. there have been some weeks where i am so beat from work that i am lucky to get to the gym 1 time. i may lose a little strength when i lift so little but as long as im eating enough i never notice any size loss. btw when i am so exhausted that i only make 1 workout in a week i do my entire body. starting with either squats or deads ending with chest and arms.

Look up the "dramatic transformation principle" AKA DTP, its an amazing routine that has relatively light weights with really high reps. This will challenge you in a whole new way and bring out those cuts on the muscles that you gained from a nice heavy cycle. I love running this and I use it on my muscle confusion days just to keep my body guessing.

Time under tension, mind muscle connection, pausing a little on the negative, focusing on the form, focussing on squeezing the muscle on the contraction like your flexing it thats what gets optimal growth with a proper diet. I do my volume routines for 6 weeks than 3 heavy weeks than back to my volume but i try to up the weight a little on every movement and get the same reps or up the reps with the same weight. But it comes down to diet. Throwing around heavy weight will only get you so far what happens is the heavier weight you start to push all those things i mentioned start to break down. That doesnt mean you ise light weight it means you use moderate weight where your almost struggling to get you last reps. Different people have different methods but their physique usually does all the talking needed.

You could cut your lifting weight in half or lift 75% of the weight you have been lifting for each set. You could set your plan up for 6 weeks. You can do straight sets, reverse pyramid, or pyramid. I suppose your regimen was pyramid?

Changing to compound lifts three times per week will give you more rest days. You could use less weight and focus on form. Decreasing the weight and focusing on form and perfect reps will give you great results, with or without AAS.

Keep your eating going and make sure you stay active with your regimen. Keep up the good work.

Yeh I usually start with a light warm up set id 15-20 reps, then I pyramid 10, 8, 6, 4...preciate your comment brother!!

Never worry about just losing your gains. A lot of that is mental. If you continue to eat good and get your workouts in you should be able to maintain most of those gains. Keep mixing up the routines so that the body doesn't get to accustomed to what your doing therefore always allowing you opportunities for good pumps and workouts. Stay on top of your diet, drink your water, and stay positive in your approach, don't let the mirror be the only indicator of how big you are
