Yea I donated twice in the last 90 days for first two times in a year cuz I mentioned 'tattoo' August '13...never again
Great TIP! +1
Give the answers they want!
Thank you for the reminder, gsleepy.
If anything, its just plain healthy to donate blood as often as allowed. Women cycle blood naturally, us men must remember to put the exact dates eligible on the schedule and make sure we get it done. Hey Gents, the local blood bank calls me a week prior to my eligibility to set an appointment. If I don't respond they call me every day until I do and I live in a city with a population of 3ml or more. Every three months I make a "Double Red" donation which will drop my RBC count up to three points which is huge. If you are highly vascular, in good shape, and your hemo is high they know you are jacked on test and other athletic men's health compounds. If you are good health they want your cells and they truly want to help you get your hemo count lowered. Like Chidoman states, be sure check the "no" box when asked about AAS use. Just because you have to.
You cannot donate double reds as often as a whole blood donation, however, in the long run I believe you are better off with the less often "Double Red" donation. It's safer for your heart and blood pressure if you keep your RBC count below 16.5 and to keep your hemo below the very top of the acceptable range. Two things to seriously keep an eye on.
Oh, and wear a tight shirt - the women techs will fight over you.
Good one, GS.

Great post brother!
Thank you, but you started it. Great post on you, bro! Dump that blood as often as possible - It's flat out healthy to do so.
My hemocrit is normally 51 is that very high?
Not to disagree with anyone but 51 is the top of the scale.... Time to give blood my friend and watch it like a hawk..... Mine recently went to 57 and bad things happen at 57 ;)
Johnny,
6'1+ and 8%bf? No, 51 would fine for a man with these stats.
It does help a lot, especially when running EQ like myself , just make sure to check All the appropriate boxes with the right check marks (Hint, hint!!) and you'll stroll right through it !!....Been in aforeign country for the past year?...Nooo!...and I just came back from the Caribbean for a long needed vacation....
I drop a pint every two weeks. I had to get a Doctor to approve it But it sure makes me feel better and is great for my Kidneys. Thinking of investing in leeches. lol
Wow, that is a frequent schedule. I'm curious what your levels were/are like as well.
what were your levels?
Curious for all you people that give blood frequently...how do you not become iron defficient? Do you suppliment?
Having too many blood cells pretty much means your iron is gonna be too high also. Especial if you are eating a lot of red meat for protein.
I try to give blood every month. I had to get a Doctor's order for it though since it is more often than is allowed on a typical donation schedule.
Thanks for posting +1 for reminding me to give today. Updates to follow...
Thank you sir, I was a month behind myself. ;)
I gave blood about 4 weeks ago my hemoglobin was at 16.7 prior to.
I usually do give...my hematocrit has been borderline for months. I got a tattoo and in my state I was deferred for a year...but I get bloods regularly and everything has been pretty stable. I tried and they kicked me out lol. I was PISSED!! Haha
Any of the questions they ask I lie. Fuck em it's free blood most of it just turns to plasma anyway. I love the question have you been out of the country in the last year. NOOOOOOOO of course not I don't ever vacation.... LOL Dominican Republic here I come.. LOL
Smh Puerto Plata, La Romana and Playa Dorada, I'm with you brother its crazy out their my Favorite place to party.
I give blood by picking a fight with the old lady; she gives me a few good ones in my already broken nose and I let the blood run out. It's faster and easier then heading to the blood bank and it allows her to get her rage out on me. I gave blood a few weeks ago and I saw the look on the nurses face when it started coming out. She said nothing; gave me my delicious cookies and I left after a few minutes.
RustyhookerI need to donate soon. Week 8 of tasty eq run. Save 2 lives by donating
Tried to donate a few weeks ago, but was told my iron was to high. That is why I'm trying to give to start with. Gees!
They tell me my iron is too high also, but they take the blood. Maybe call the main office or try another donation station. just a thought ;)
If your O negative they don't care if your iron is high. Atleast were I go they tell me that. They tell me your iron is high but we still want that liquid gold. Smh
Lmao!!!!! This is so true!!!
Waitin' to get BW....CANT WAAAAIT!!!!!
Me too! gave 3 times now and have watched hemoglobin go from 20.1 to 15.6
