Hey all,
Glad to be back on forums. Took a hiatus to build my business up and pop out a few kiddos out. I blinked an eye and now I’m 43, 5’11” 195 lbs @ 23% bf. Luckily I managed to stay in shape. My goals are to increase flexibility, gain some lean muscle and decrease body fat by 10%. I just had two discs S1 & L5 replaced (not fused) mid July. I was skeptical at first but all went well and feeling great. If anyone has experience with post surgery training programs, that would be greatly appreciated. NO EXCUSES! Let’s get it!

Welcome Brotha
Blimey, having 2 discs replaced can't of been a small operation - what kind of recovery was involved in that, how long were you bed bound for? What caused you to need them replaced mate?
It was a bit invasive being they go through the gut. In hospital for one day, in bed at home for one week with light movement, week two I was up a moving around, and week three I’m back to work with light restrictions. I had three bulging discs/herniations with S1 on the nerve shooting down leg. After two years of trying to push them back in so spinal fluid could repair I decided to get it. Im week 5 and feel great!
Ohh Fuck Pal - You've just put me off my lunch!!! LMAO Jesus
I am amazed they didn't keep you in hospital for longer to make sure your bowls didn't start leaking!!
Did you get this from lifting weights or just general wear and tear?
I enjoy talking about operations and recovery nowadays since I am currently going through Rotator cuff Surgery Rehab HAHA
Hahaha! It’s not that bad
I guess you can say technology has come a long way. It’s called Pro Disc replacement. I lucked out and had a great Dr.
Two motorcycle accidents, and being a tradesmen over 25 years didn’t help lol
Best of luck with rehab!
I use to own bikes up till I was 24, then the best rider in our pack got taken out by a woman pulling out in front of him whilst he was legally doing 50mph. He had to have both hips replaced in his early 20's and almost died at the time. Has to have his hips replaced every 10 years now for the rest of his life so I decided to get out of the game as I knew losing my training meant way more than riding my bike. So glad I did now after all the guys I have met on here with debilitating, life long injuries.
