+ 5 WARNING....Taking Viagra, Cialis and Nitco Oxide Releasers can be DANGEROUS!

ad

http://www.weighttraining.com/faq/can-you-safely-take-nitric-oxide-and-c...

Many of you may be aware of this, but just in case some are not I felt obligated to post it. The link above corroborates that this can be a real problem.

There is a well known interatcion betweeen ED drugs and Nitrates! Many Eroiders use the popular ED drugs for enhancement.

I wonder how many also use NO releasers to ehance pumps and are unaware that there is a potential for a dangerous interatction where heart rate jumps, and blood pressure drops suddenly.

It's not a good idea to use both, but if you must...the you need to allow enough time for the NO releaser to completely leave your system before using Viagra or Cialis.

I can't give you an exact number on time, but you may be able to find it online.

My guess is 48 hours might be ok. But don't go by my guess be SAFE!

BTW; Please see post by Wadeoggs below in comments. It gives an excellent technical perspective of the problem.

@only1cat This is the kind of thing where u might use both a 100 times and nothing will happen. Then on 101st it can. So, best to be safe!

Use the reply button at the top right of the other users comment box brother. This way they get notified about your response. Putting "@username" doesn't do that. Just a tip! Great post by the way lots of guys are unaware of this fact. Wish I could + 1 you.

So, what happens is that nitrates increase a molecule called cGMP, which causes your vessels to relax. This is what you want to happen for it's primary purpose which is treating angina, because it means that less blood is going back to your heart. For angina, this is good, because the pain people feel in angina is due to ischemia (decreased oxygen causing cell injury), and the heart pumping less blood mean it doesn't have to work as hard, so it uses less oxygen= no more pain.

Now viagra works by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase 5. The job of this enzyme is break down extra cGMP that's hanging out in your vessel, particularly in the corpus cavernosum of the penis. This causes the corpus cavernosum to dilate, and you got blood pooling and erection. The problem, is that it isn't specific to only the cavernosum, so it works a bit on the rest of your body as well.

So in a nutshell, the problem is taking nitrates directly causes more cGMP, causing vessel dilation, and then taking viagra means you stop breaking down cGMP so it hangs around, causing even more vasodilation. These two work synergistically to give some pretty profound hypotension, because by dilating all of your vessels, you're getting less blood back to your heart.

Edit: And these interactions are likely to happen if you take the two within 24 hours of one another, just fyi!

Never thought that I'm using some NOS NitrosPump by Metrx which could be considered Nitrates. I don't use them often which is 3 pills per serving but nonetheless the possibility for a interaction could occur. I can drop the NOS but I will never drop the ED pills, never, ever, ever..
