+ 67 Fake Votes, My investigation of crooked sources!
upon my arrival, after many a day off, I found myself confronted with a great opportunity. It wasnt the first time it had happened, but back when the board was in its infancy it was expected. Sources would do just about anything for a vote and review and many of them where votes made by the source themselves. I spoke with BFG about it a couple times back then, and while it seemed like it was unbreakable there was some changes being made. Fast forward some time and the board has had a facelift or two and things are much more in control, it appears there is some no-nonsense MODs and some quality sources in the rankings, reviews look much better then they ever have and for the most part there is a high success rate of packs and happy customers.
So why am I being asked if I want some free gear if id be willing to review and vote?
Like a member who actually cares about the integrity of the ranking system and the value of not having to just "hope" that the money I just sent off will actually get me a pack and it will be real. If you have been around here long enough you know what I mean. So I took my concerns to BFG and talked to him once again about the ranking, voting, and review system. And i had an idea.
So I was given permission to do the job. I sent out friend requests to the top 50 sources and made them an offer. it looked like this
"Hey Boss, ive been on this site for some time and seen it go through a lot of transformations. its pretty clear that whether sources are allowed to buy votes or not thats what the promos are for. Myself, My cousin, and two of my partners local to me are all long time members here on eroids with several hundred karma points each. All are different IPs with no way to trace us as a group. If you are interested in a trade we would be willing to give you 4 well written reviews, on any compounds you would like, for $200 in trade shipped. Im from the old school and operate on good faith and a mans word so we are willing to leave 2 reviews and votes prior to receiving products and 2 reviews and votes after. If you agree then ill tell you who the second voter will be, and after products land ill tell you who the 3rd and 4th will be. Just in case you decide to go the MODs im not gonna group us all together until deal is done. pretty simple and straight forward, if your not interested no worries there is plenty of sources to go around. you can hit back on my email too."
This is clearly illegal, cant trade products for votes and surely me leaving two reviews before even getting anything to review would have to be fake.
Alot of sources didnt even respond to my PM, or email.

Thanks for the offer but I'm going to have to decline. What you are suggesting wouldn't be ethical. I'm all for you leaving reviews but it would need to be legitimate reviews on experience of our service and products purchased. Anything else would be false and not a true reflection of my service and quality of products. To do as you suggest would undermine my integrity and defeat the object of this site, although I am well aware that not everyone on this site is as conscientious as me.Regards

THIS IS NOT WHAT MAKES EROIDS, these sources all take away from the integrity of the site, they shit on the very place that makes them money, and honestly I cant say I would trust any source willing to trade for fake reviews.
Thankyou BFG and MODs for everything you put into this site, all your time and effort to make this place great! I hope that as a regular member my contributions help you continue to build on this vision.
I have forwarded all PMs and gave BFG password to my email account, so if anybody has in questions about legitimacy they can be answered.

Not that your point of view has no merit to it at all, but I strongly disagree in principal. So because Walmart plays dirty ( irrelevant to this discussion ) we should throw our hands up in the air in defeat, effectively giving a PASS to every other business in the world as long as YOU end up a satisfied customer at the end of the day? No. This community can't effectively damage walmart's revenue, but it can and should hurt these source's finances ( where it counts ) in whatever way possible. In my opinion that is.
Punishment is a little more complicated, personally I would have liked to see if they actually followed through.

What makes eroids stand above all other sites is the integrity and standards that it tries to uphold. We lose that and then this site becomes a shithole like all the others and everybody here suffers the consequences. The INTENT of the those sources that took the bait is clear and in my opinion that undermines the whole integrity of this site and those sources should be dealt with accordingly. Even though those sources hadn't sent any gear yet the INTENT was there to do so.

Yes, steroid sales attracts some very unethical people. But some ethical people as well. I am not an SRC but would not have any ethical problem with doing so. The law was created by the legislature against the advice of the DEA, AMA, and others for grandstanding in front of the public.
True, some people who are criminal by nature will sell steroids, whether contaminated , fake , counterfeit or just plain oil, or maybe even good product.
But some who are decent people and are only committing a crime by violating a ridiculous law, yet are otherwise ethical also sell steroids.
This site's very purpose is to try to sort out the two different types.
I agree, I do like what he's doing for the eroids community on one hand but on the other hand it's too much like a le setup.
IMHO it's only a setup if it enticed someone into committing a "crime " they would not have otherwise committed.

If you had been here long enough to see the way it was in the beginning you would appreciate what it is today and how it has and is changing the world of online steroids.

I love this site and the ranking system, there are some flaws that can't be fixed unless the ppl themselves use integrity. Hard to explain but a source had a promo up a couple weeks ago for ppl who used and reviewed their products and the day it was posted amazingly they probably had 10 reviews posted of ppl using them. And you're right I wasn't here in the beginning so don't know how it was before I got here
So, these source ran a promo for a few guys instead of the whole community. What's any different about this from other giveaway promos other than they paid to run them?
One glaring difference is that some of the guys in this list agreed to accept reviews for product that had not even been delivered yet. The intent of the promo section should be an opportunity for suppliers to get their product out and "honestly" reviewed after use. In my opinion there is a huge difference between buying positive reviews and getting your product out for testing.
I ddnt notice the leave reviews prior to getting goods to start, I apologize. But the giveaway promos are still just that. How many ppl you think actually give real reviews for free gear or just gonna rave about it being the greatest shit they put in their body just from it being free? My guess is a majority of reviews given for free promo aren't legitimate
No need to apologize brother. I am in complete agreement with you and take all reviews with a grain of salt. Although I always have trouble understanding why people would give a positive review to subpar gear. I mean if you send me junk to put in my body why would I not blast you and move on. But some people are so happy with free stuff they don't seem to care.

AnonAs a very small source that's trying to earn legitimate respect it's not in our best interest to tell anyone to fuck off. We've turned down numerous requests for free samples and free gear to get votes in the EBC and answer all emails and/or PM's with respect. Not once have we brought it to the mods attention nor will we ever. Cordiality should never be mistaken under false pretenses, promises, votes, etc. Our reviews speak for themselves and every single one was earned with hard work, dedication, honesty, and commitment to the members. It's more than just 4 votes, one solid vote from a guy with an ADV, or EXP tag is worth 100's of noob votes.
When I'm scanning through reviews or votes, I disregard all those 5 karma guys and look till I see a tag like yours.
My Source just announced his retirement today, so this short list of good guys will come in handy for finding my next guy.
