+ 66 Fake Votes, My investigation of crooked sources!
upon my arrival, after many a day off, I found myself confronted with a great opportunity. It wasnt the first time it had happened, but back when the board was in its infancy it was expected. Sources would do just about anything for a vote and review and many of them where votes made by the source themselves. I spoke with BFG about it a couple times back then, and while it seemed like it was unbreakable there was some changes being made. Fast forward some time and the board has had a facelift or two and things are much more in control, it appears there is some no-nonsense MODs and some quality sources in the rankings, reviews look much better then they ever have and for the most part there is a high success rate of packs and happy customers.
So why am I being asked if I want some free gear if id be willing to review and vote?
Like a member who actually cares about the integrity of the ranking system and the value of not having to just "hope" that the money I just sent off will actually get me a pack and it will be real. If you have been around here long enough you know what I mean. So I took my concerns to BFG and talked to him once again about the ranking, voting, and review system. And i had an idea.
So I was given permission to do the job. I sent out friend requests to the top 50 sources and made them an offer. it looked like this
"Hey Boss, ive been on this site for some time and seen it go through a lot of transformations. its pretty clear that whether sources are allowed to buy votes or not thats what the promos are for. Myself, My cousin, and two of my partners local to me are all long time members here on eroids with several hundred karma points each. All are different IPs with no way to trace us as a group. If you are interested in a trade we would be willing to give you 4 well written reviews, on any compounds you would like, for $200 in trade shipped. Im from the old school and operate on good faith and a mans word so we are willing to leave 2 reviews and votes prior to receiving products and 2 reviews and votes after. If you agree then ill tell you who the second voter will be, and after products land ill tell you who the 3rd and 4th will be. Just in case you decide to go the MODs im not gonna group us all together until deal is done. pretty simple and straight forward, if your not interested no worries there is plenty of sources to go around. you can hit back on my email too."
This is clearly illegal, cant trade products for votes and surely me leaving two reviews before even getting anything to review would have to be fake.
Alot of sources didnt even respond to my PM, or email.

Thanks for the offer but I'm going to have to decline. What you are suggesting wouldn't be ethical. I'm all for you leaving reviews but it would need to be legitimate reviews on experience of our service and products purchased. Anything else would be false and not a true reflection of my service and quality of products. To do as you suggest would undermine my integrity and defeat the object of this site, although I am well aware that not everyone on this site is as conscientious as me.Regards

THIS IS NOT WHAT MAKES EROIDS, these sources all take away from the integrity of the site, they shit on the very place that makes them money, and honestly I cant say I would trust any source willing to trade for fake reviews.
Thankyou BFG and MODs for everything you put into this site, all your time and effort to make this place great! I hope that as a regular member my contributions help you continue to build on this vision.
I have forwarded all PMs and gave BFG password to my email account, so if anybody has in questions about legitimacy they can be answered.

i think if you have good clean gear and your honest and responsive to clients and you conduct buisness as advertised by the source then good reputation and reviews will come naturally
i believe that all members here help guide and protect other users to good trustworthy sources ,if we all write bullshit reviews for a lil free gear then it fucks the rest of the members and integrity of the review board

All the same,my utmost concern being quality/Legitimacy of the product, I am not sure if this doesn't disconcert me even more, when it comes to ug labs as most sources carry gear from the same labs and some of the unscrupulous players listed above were willing to give these specific brands away and get review on them(With photos and what not) while even some of the sources who turned down the offer (Hopefully because they were truly moral and not because they saw through it) carry products from these labs any ways?
What does this mean then? Are distributors faking ug lab products? is pharmgrade gear just about the only option worth risking my hard earned cash on?

Congratulations on the success of a excellent covert op! I some how missed all of this, and have been wondering for a while now just what happened a few sources I had noticed had disappear from the source list. Really got to scratching my head when I discover some had disappear from the top source list since I was last on the board. I am glad to know the board and mods are keeping check on our sources here at Eroids. I worry about a loss of funds each time I donate. I know it is a chance that has to be taken in the game, and the rating system is in place to help protect against such things and identify good and bad source, but I also know there is outside force and things that can happen over night that can cause a loss, and or things of the nature that this covert op uncovered. I'm one of the sources who got caught. This was an entrapment. I wasn't looking to buy votes and never have. But I'm not here to make excuses. I'd like to apologize to the eroids community and to those members who gave us their votes. We are sorry and embarrassed by this incident. Without a doubt, we made a poor judgement to say the least. We are taking full responsibility for what happened and ask our respected customers for their continued support.
We never bought a single vote. Since our registration just over 2 years ago we’ve gotten 124 votes. Not one is negative. We're an honest source. We provide quality product and treat our customers right.
Of course we're disappointed with the suspension but at the same time we appreciate to be given a second chance. This was a good lesson and we'd like to thank eroids for being transparent and fair.

My hope is that you can post the sources in the forums in some way shape or form( maybe a sticky) so people can see who: didn't accept your FR's and told you to "F" off. I have a funny feeling that these sources have exceptional products and exceptional reviews already. And they should be rewarded for there stellar business ethics and loyalty to eroids.

i couldnt report you to the mods, because you are not tecnically doing anything wrong if you're reviewing a product that has been sent to you, whether or not its free or paid for. but my only problem is how many other sources have you gone around to asking for this same deal?

Nice Work on your undercover opp and this shows that you can never trust any shady members are sources. The first thing of protection is Eroids as a community. As it should be. Entrapment if it was a street opp , but this is BFG's world.+1

yes, i will not deny, i made a mistake accepting this offer. To be honest, i was interested in having some reviews. i haven't managed to tell him that i do not need a review prior receiving the products. I used to send some stuff to guys that participated in EBC but i NEVER asked for a prior review, always asked for a HONEST review on my page even if it is bad. Maybe somebody don't know but I participated with donations in nearly all the EBC from the start.
Of course i don't have excuses, what's done is done :(
