Fuck I'm having an anxiety attack I think. I just walked in got those pills and flushed them and now I feel like someone just shot my dog LOL Sounds stupid I know but I would never sell them or give them to anyone and having them here was just trouble waiting to happen. I think a street value on those was like 900 bucks..... So this my friend means I'm serious so let's do this shit bro! That may have the stupidest or smartest thing I've ever done. I don't know which get I guess only time will tell!
mr127superdee9th day im going strong big bro just prepping for new years i have no idea how that is going to go. give us update my man
Hold strong my man! It's easy to set yourself up to fail. If you put yourself in a situation to where it could happen then you greatly increase your chances to fail. This is exactly why I tossed the pills. I really didn't think I could have them in the house any longer. You start talking yourself into just 1 drink being ok or just a couple of pills. Next thing you know a little buzz comes on and your inhibitions go right out the window. I still think about them everyday but every morning I'm thankful I made it through another day. Keep strong my man and better days are ahead of us both. I'm still struggling too from time to time but I made a promise to myself that I would do another 30 days and pray it keeps getting easier.....
BigBmajGood fucking job bro.
mr127superdeeYES BRO fight through it fight please if anyone for an addict youve never even met. your the one who got me to give this another try only you day 1 down for me hero cmon bear with me youe gotta get down another 30 ill be here every fucking Day if i have too!
Glad to see you back in here!
mr127superdeeyes thank you my brother day2 it sucks starting over from scratch but it is the only way
BigBmajHow are you feeling?
mr127superdeegoing on 5th day it was rough seeing everyone drinking the margaritas and jager last night but i held out. i dont think christmas is going to be as hard as new years tho :/ im really worried about that
BigBmajDon't make it out to be anything that it doesn't need to be. If it's hard to be around people sober then just don't be around them. Get used to being bored and lonely, it's inevitable. You can't have it both ways. It just doesn't work.
I'm not having any fun these days. I got some money for Christmas and I paid bills with it instead of buying an oz of heroin. It was not fun in any way shape or form. Its sacrifice for the hope that things can get better if I keep doing this.
So I'm not having any fun but I'm not dope sick either. I'm not planning on robbing someone tomorrow when my money is all gone. And I doubt I'll be in jail any time soon. The highs aren't as high and the lows aren't nearly as low.
It's Saturday night and my plan is to go to bed as soon as I possibly can to make this day just go away. So that's my reality. Fucking boring and lonely as hell. I could just go and get laid but I'm trying to not do that these days either.
All those nights in college where the studious people were studying and I was out partying are playing out on the other side now. Now I'm the one staying home and "working on myself". I even got a journal because I felt sorry for torturing everyone around here.
Fuck this shit sucks but I've got to give it a try. The other way doesn't seen to work out too well for me.
mr127superdeeyoure so right. it sucks but when the alcohol and party goes so do my friends and fuck buddies...i think this my be my bigger fear instead of not having another drink.....who knows but like you said the highs wont be as high but the lows wont be as low either.
thank you brother. you didnt bullshit me, you gave me hardcore truth and that is usually what works the best
BigBmajThe friends and fuck buddies will dissapper. But maybe they will be replaced by something better. If not, I'm going to start using drugs again. I'm not doing this to make me miserable I'll tell you that. I would rather have a 6 month life expectancy than be lonely and bored for a whole life. But I have to believe the sober people that I talk to about life being so much better. My little brother for instance, he got sober 5 years ago and he's out looking for a new house with this new fiancé tonight. That may not be as exciting as snorting coke off of hookers asses but I've got to think it's more rewarding. We all have to grow up at some point. I guess you just have to ask yourself where you are in life and be true to that. I sure can't answer that for you. I flip flop on that myself. I could so easily go a fuck the shit out of some chick tonight but I'm afraid that somewhere in her vagina is a bag of dope waiting for me. God damn is it tempting tho.
Good luck bro it's all a process. Don't expect to figure it all out tonight. You should give this life a try for a year or so and if it's terrible the fuck/drinking buddies will be waiting.
I'm good now but I must admit I am still having a tiny bit of remorse over flushing those pills. Probably best if I just hang on to the script because there are times that I tweak my back to where I absolutely need them. I guess I'll fight that fight if and when it arises. Just don't put me on a pedestal bro because when I fall I fall hard. I am willing to go another round and that for now is all I can promise. I can't promise I'll be here everyday and I can't promise that I won't fall off my wagon but I can promise I will try...... Good luck bro I know you can do this.
BigBmajTrust me it's not best to hang on the the script. I went to the pharmacy today to get one filled and they were closed. It took everything I had not to call another pharmacy, I ended up telling someone and now it's not an option.
Good luck.
Mega props to you! I've been offline for a week or two and its inspirational to see you still going.... strong too! Keep it up and when you feel low just know you've got people in your corner
im joining this. i have 30days left until my record is perfectly clean. not allowing any shit to happen over the holidays, but it will put my mind at ease knowing nothing stands between me and lookin clean on paper.
Still going strong?
Heck yeah!
Mr127superdee you issued this challenge and seems I'm the only one doing it. Day 18 now and I've had my ups and downs with today being one of the most irritable ones. None the less here I am doing this fucking thing and at this point I don't even know why. I will do it because I said I would. Would've been nice for you to chime in and offer those words of motivation that you spoke of lol. No worries though bro I got this. Tomorrow's bound to be a better day!
mr127superdeeim sorry my brother out of embarassment i have outted myself! i was not strong as you your name is truly fitting it sounds like you have truly started a new chapter i made it about 2 weeks then crash....
I haven't made it yet bro.... Today is day 27 and it has been trying at times although this has been a fairly smooth week. You can do it bro.... It's a state of mind just like commuting to lifting. The beauty of falling off the wagon is that you can pick yourself up and dust yourself off then climb back up on the wagon for another try. Christmas is actually my 30 days. I tell you what I'll go another 30 days with you if you wanna give it another go..... Whatcha think?
PLEASE stick this out!!! The longer you go, the less that shit has a hold on you. You will never see a greater reward than being drug free. You don't realize how shitty you feel until you are clean.
My drug of choice was oxycontin. I was spending $200 a day at my lowest point. I was selling everything I had plus my paychecks not to mention credit. I wasnt even getting high anymore. Just keeping somewhat normal and not getting sick.
What eventually saved me was, I had a steady supplier that I went to and lost all my other connections. One day I stopped on my way home from work and found out he had a heart attack and died......cold turkey for me!!!!
I know what you are going through and hope you are strong enough to walk away on your own. I wasn't. Death literally saved my life. I never looked back and am glad I stayed clean instead of finding a new source. I'm rooting for you brother because I know what you are up against. Stay strong and beat this thing!!!!!!!
mr127superdeewow the fuckin brotherhood that I got on here! i love it. wow i wonder if thats just a weird coincidence or what, Christmas your 30th day thats beautiful.I do wanna give it another go my bro it means alot that your willing to do it with me. your 27th day! wow and to think you werent up for this at first im fuckin impressed sir.
It certainly wasn't as easy as I may have made it sound and a couple times I was taking it 1 minute at a time let alone 1 day at a time. You're right I didn't want to do it at first and even now I think about it. I'm sitting on 180 10mg norcos with another script ready to be filled. I'm setting myself up I know and for what ever reason keep filling my scripts. It has gotten easier to not take the meds the longer I go without. I should just flush them and be done with it. I am willing to go another 30 if you want to. Hell if I can do that I might just walk away from them for good. So let's do this fuckin thing. The day after Christmas and tell everybody in your life that you're quitting. That way you're not just letting yourself down but everyone. Lol Sounds stupid I know but the more people you get involved the better your chances are. It's kind of like doing it for the people you love until you start loving yourself enough to do it for yourself!
Eyes on the prize brother!! Keep moving forward!!
Hey Bigman I don't know if I've said it but I do appreciate the words of encouragement! Thank you.....
Just finishing day 11..... No worse for the wear really except I'm tired as fuck and I can't sleep. Gotta case of the Jimmie legs Lol Wondering what happen to the bro that laid down this challenge.
Its cool that you're still going strong on this. Have you tried melatonin to help with the sleeping?
My toughest day was today. I actually carried some around in my pocket before thinking to myself that this was stupid. There's absolutely no logic to addiction. I know they're not good for me and there's no really good reason to take them. I couldn't bring myself to just toss them. So I brought them home and put them away. I WILL do 30 days! I can't make any promises after that. I told myself I can do this and the only person in the world that I have absolute power of to keep from lying to me is me.
No I haven't tried any sleep aides but it seems to be getting better in that department. Day13 : )
Ok so I'm 7 days in and I did reup my script 2 days ago.'setting myself up for failure? Perhaps..... I don't always make the wisest decisions. I've been sitting on this script for 2 days and I'm back and forth with it. Like "I can just take 1 or 2 without any probs" and "These fucking people don't know me and would never know. I can tell them what ever the hell I want" then there's the integrity side of me that just can't bring myself to take 1. I live my life by integrity and if I say I can wait 30 days I'm gonna wait 30 days. Although I haven't made it easy on myself. It just feels good to post some progress and let those of you that give a shit. 23 days left and counting. I'm still doing it and I hope you guys are too!
Good for you brother stay strong, you got this!!
Trying bro..... Thanks for the encouragement!
Anytime buddy!!
Ok are there any rules.... Lol I'm willing to do this and currently I'm on my 3rd day without any pills. I am however on ephedra and other supplements for my withdraw process. So can I count these 3 days and the next 2 for the full process. It's a 5 day regiment for the withdraw process. LETS DO THIS THING!
Keep it going man!! Good luck!!
mr127superdeeno rules lets just work on one habit at a time my man if ephedra is what you need for a couple days a week whatever feel it out i think your gonna do this! I actually just hit day five so far day four was the hardest day i still cant get myself to throw any alcohol out but keepin it outta my body
Good stuff man keep going strong!!
Best of luck! Opiates are a bitch of the greatest magnitude. I admire your fortitude and hope you can reach your goal. Who knows where it may lead. Excellent.
GearofWarGood on you. Do the damn thing man!
mr127superdeeDay 3
Reasons why i wont drink again:
Alcohol has ruined my relationships with those i love and loved me back
Alcohol has destroyed my gym gains or at least made it much more difficult than it had to be to make gains
Alcohol has made my a financial idiot and takes away funds from things that actually matter to me and those i love
Alcohol has made me physically ill and sick
Alcohol has made me gag vomit throw up
Alcohol ruined my 11th grade prom for me and destroyed what could have been a good memory for the girl that i went with
Alcohol has gotten my head busted open and my tooth knocked out
Alcohol has gotten me some very close calls with the law
i dont use prescription drugs like pain killers to get high, illegal narcotics, or even really drink... my only vices are smokeless tobacco and sex
Copenhagen is my second worst vice and then there's caffeine all day long!
The hardest thing for me is the fact that I get 90 10/325 Norco's every 12 days for 10 bucks. This is truly my biggest vice. I rarely drink maybe twice a year. The things is I know I should quit but I don't want to. I do have my liver checked regularly. I know I'm an addict but I consider myself a very functional addict. I had back surgery in 1999 and have been playing this game for a long time. When I have them though I have very little control and will sometimes eat up to 25 a day. Then I try to stretch them out but am usually out by the 6th or 7th day. So I've become a bit of an expert at beating withdraw with ephedra and energy drinks coupled with antidiarrheal pills. It's a 15 day script that I can reup 3 days early. I never go looking for more or put the word out. So this is how I justify it as functional. I do however sometimes hate myself for loving the euphoria that comes with it. Fact is though I only get the euphoria on the first buzz and spend the rest of my script chasing the Dragon every time.
mr127superdeei hope you can continue on that i thought that i was a functional alcoholic until i realized i was just a mostly functional alcoholic. theres no such thing as functioning while under the influence or dealing with hangovers its just breakdown then recover then function in my situation and my breakdowns were happening a little worse as i got older and my recoveries were taking longer leaving me with less and less time being functional. I hope this isn't the case for you but its something to consider my brother.
I can honestly say if I didn't have kids I don't think I would've been able to keep it together as well as I have. I feel like I have a good handle on it but I really don't know if I could do 30 days knowing that I have some right at my fingertips. Because even when I run out I know it's only a matter of days before I get some more. I wouldn't wait 30 days to read up my prescription because in my mind if I waited 30 days I could've had two full prescriptions. So I think I would be setting myself up for failure. Because I would be telling myself I can do 30 days but I'm still going to fill my prescriptions. The problem with that is with them sitting around the house I don't think I could resist LOL alcohol is a monster all in itself and it really is hard to function and recover from. Pain meds although are highly addictive you can still function properly on them. If you take so many that you cannot function you will probably wake up dead. I did have one close call when I was snorting Roxies. It scared the hell out of me so I decided never to never do those again!
GearofWarWish it was that easy sir. If I could just say "I'm giving up Suboxone" for 30 days my life would improve tenfold. To not be a slave to that chemical dependency would be a God-send. Truly. If I had 3 wishes that would be one of them. Good stuff though. I like the positivity.
I know what you mean brother, it is possible though, I just did it myself a few month back, pm me if you would like to talk, I'll help you as best I can from my experience...
AnonWell we both know that's not an option cold turkey… ween off bro I have a close friend that did it in a few months it's hard but I believe in you ebro make addiction your bitch
I went cold turkey.
Weening off was an excuse for me to continue using and drinking.
IMO, "one size does not fit all".
GearofWarI've attempted cold turkey, but it's impossible to do while working 55 hours a week(at least for me). If I had a couple weeks alone or at least not having to work I KNOW I could best this shit. But the WD's get so bad that I can't perform regular work functions. If I could be locked in a room for 2 weeks with food, water and a place to shower I'd be able to do it I think. And yes, I've withdrawn from many other substances and for some reason the Suboxone is the worst of the worst. I think it's because of how effectively it binds to receptors. Makes it a bitch to get it off those same receptors.
