+ 1 Full body workout mon/wed/fr ...

ad

whats everones thoughts on full body workouts with cardio, abs, traps in between? Im currently doin chest/back, arms, shoulders/legs or back, bis, chest, tris, and shoulders/legs once a week. ive been doing a split for the last couple years. Wondering if working say 1 exercise per muscle group with 1 min rest 3 sets mon/wed/fri would be a good muscle confusion for say 2 weeks, then switch back to a split? Should this be done at 4am before i go to work or at 5 pm when i get home?? anyone ever just change things? it might be kinda hard to bench, squat, pull ups, and shoulder press all in an hour?

I think if your not going to failure your not growing. You tear yourself down in the gym then rebuild when you rest. People r not building when there lifting but a lot of people think that way. when you go to failure in weight reps or anything etc you have pushed yourself to the max then you rest and grow. just my opinion

I think you should train every body part twice a week but work out 3 body parts/groups per session. Training to failire is good on e a week bt I wouldnt recommend all day everyday. Depnds ic youre cycling etc really. If you can still do more than id start by doing circuits and super sets before increasing weight reps or sets. Take less of a brake man. Maybe finish with a drop set or 2.

i think you should never go to failure if you're doing 3 full body workouts and never the same exercise 2 times in a row. but if your current workout is working for you dont change it!

I was hoping doinfull body with 1 min rest between sets would burn fat, im not concerned with building any mass anymore. I figured hitting traps and calves every other day would help keep those parts big. i read online randy orton does this with hitt training and cardio.

just make sure that your body is healed before the next workout!

my opinion on full body work outs our 1.5 hrs at most for lifting time. they will work but you need only do major muscle group exercises no little stuff. bench deadlift pull ups squats straight bar curls shoulder presses that's it. 10 to fifteen minutes pre workout cardio no more than two sets per exercise last set always to failure. maybe 3 sets on some but I wouldn't go over 15 to 18 sets.

I did full body 3 times a week for some time. It worked great but was really hard and the sessions took about 3 hours.
