TRT story... why I will continue to do it!
Just sharing this for those of us old farts in the TRT community.... we have all seen the commercials and ads about TRT helping us feel and heal more like we did when we were 20 something, and most of us know that the feel part is true, but I can also now testify that the heal part is true also.
.
Week and a half ago, I was driving in my Excursion when traffic starts slowing because of a wreck up the road, when I hit the brakes the guy behind panicked, swerved left into the median and then back to the right into the left corner of my truck. Blew out the tire, pushed under my truck and spins me sideways, went head on into a barrier wall about 40mph. Hit hard enough that it crumpled a super-duty frame 8-10" on the drivers side, actually buckled the frame in FOUR places from the impact. Needless to say, airbags went off and seatbelt locked in place. Fortunately I was able to brace for the impact and not totally eat the airbags, still one helluva bruise on my chest from the belt and left arm from the bag blowing. Paramedic got there and checked me out, she couldn't believe that I didn't have any more injuries than I did... TWO days later the bruises are GONE, muscle aches GONE and you cant even tell I was in a vehicle that went head on into a wall.
.
Just another reason I will continue to rock on with TRT!! .

P.S. Even tho it totaled my Excursion I am damn glad I was in it, and damned happy to still able to be posting here, if I had been in something smaller, it would have been alot uglier... at the minimum having the door cut off to get out, and most likely cutting the door and dash to remove me....

Ended up getting a helluva deal on the buy back from the ins company, so its out in the shop being rebuilt. New 1/4, door and frame. Just about got the new frame ready to roll back under the body, then I will start cutting the bad 1/4 out. Should be right at 6k into it when done. Not bad for a diesel, eddie bauer edition, 4wd. As for the frame, once I pulled it out from under the body, I realize just how hard an impact it took, and how well it took it.
Glad to hear that you're o.k. Quality build and strength is one reason our company only runs Ford trucks.
AnonWell you never know, people get killed in every size of vehicle. The important thing is that you are indeed safe and well !
