Working out muscle groups twice a week.
ad
Guys normally my workout goes a little like:
Monday - Chest, Tris
Tuesday - Back, Shoulders
Wenesday - Legs, Bis, Abs
Thursday - Chest, Tris
Friday - Back Shoulders
Saturday - Legs, Bis, Abs
Sunday - Off
What do you guys think about this. I see a lot of people here only work out different muscles once a week. Is twice a week okay? I feel like I have had pretty good success with this hitting the 6-8 rep range and eating a lot of protein.

I ran this too when had more time. Only issue may be your joints not liking you. When I did this the first day I hit the body part was a heavier day and 2nd day in week was lighter/higher rep. If I needed an extra day off I took it too. I also reduced the volume of the each workout by about 20% since I would be hitting in again so soon.
Great for on cycle I think, but maybe not off cycle and def not during pct!
I used to train some muscles twice a week, switched to once a week (bar abs, calvs) and noticed i could push much heavier weight and train with a higher intenstiy. Surely if you can train bigger muscles like chest/legs even with a very good diet with only 3 days rest your not training hard enough?
Been roling nearly the same as you for over a year and it worked out pretty fine!
My sched wasnt certain weekdays related it was just a never ending loop.
Day 1:Chest-triceps
Day 2:back-biceps
Day 3shoulders-abs
Day 4:legs
Day 5: Rest (Sometimes skipped this if I had rested very well and to much energy)
That way it's a slightly lighter loop then you currently have.
But your loop will do pretty fine!
I'l tell you my current loop to give you an idea
since it's slightly heavier than urs.
it's also a never ending loop hehe.
Day1:Chest-Back(superset's between chest<->back)
Day2:Arms
Day3:Shoulders-legs-abs
Day4:Arms
Day5:Swimming
This way i do arms 3times a week , and the rest 2 times .
And to be honest this is gooing very smooth also.
So just to get back on topic.
Your plan is most definatly a solid plan.
And you should try to stick to it as it will get you some nice solid gains.
Thanks guys I appreciate the fast responses. I think I'm going to stick with my twice a week plan. I think it's relly working for me.
I was doing body parts a wk to without success so i switcch to 1 a wk with good success but...go with what workout for you imo...i know a guy at the gym that does the same thing everyday and strog as hell not sure how he recovery by doing the same thing everyday but seems to work for him
mr127superdeei couldnt do this
In reality you're hitting some of those body parts 3 times, your biceps take a fair bit during your back workout, and likewise for your triceps when doing chest. Everyone is different and nobody knows your body as well as you do. For me, I only train larger muscles like quads, back, chest once, but hit smaller muscles like biceps, triceps and calves twice.
If it works for you, it's a good regime mate.
Is pretty much whatever works for you, some peps like to hit each muscle group once/week another ones twice/week. It all depends on you! Some Bodybuilders train each muscles group EOD while they on gear. But it all depends on how fast you can recover from each workout!
