What Ammo are you guys running in your firearm if you have one?
ad
I have been looking around for the best possible personal defense rounds for my 9mm regardless of cost for my 9 mm and 38 special. My 38 is the bump in the night gun. The 9mm is kept in my vehicle. I usually buy whatever is on sale for plinking ammo. I would post on a gun board but I figure there is enough homicidal maniacs here to get good advice. Thanks in advance!

CleyonIf I could +1 I would. I'm a freaking magazine nazi. I keep a log...
Anonguide rod spring makes a big diff in 1911 too if im correct
Anonfucking a a magazine is the backbone . 1911's especially from wht I hear. a weak spring will make shit act stupid
CleyonCycle them yearly, and unload and test your magazines at least once a month. Remember most feed issues happen because the magazine is damaged.
Ammo last a LONG time. But yeah can't hurt cycling some fresh in the clips
Supernova283Oh crap didn't even look at the text below. Yeah X2 on Cleyon's post. Stick to mainstream hollow point rounds for self defense. Plinking you can use anything that feeds reliably through your gun (as long as you don't mind the extra dirtiness).
CleyonI clean my guns constantly, so a little dirtier powder isn't an issue for me. When I'm reloading I like to use the Winchester 231 powder, works really well.
Supernova283Yeah I don't reload, but I save all my casings just in case I want to start reloading later.
I'm using the cheap steel casings so I just leave them on the ground. Its cheaper to buy a new ejector for 20 buck than pay 5 bucks more per 20 rounds for brass.
CleyonYeah, but reloading is FUN!
Supernova283M4 SBR - 5.56x45mm 62 grain
1911 - 45 auto
Jericho 941 - 9 mm
Mossberg 500A - 2.75in 00buck
zewiI have an Ak-47 an Ar-15, 9mm, Desert E, and a Shotgun...
Not forgetting my 50cal sniper rifle for the hell of it.
I love my ar
I'm using .223 hollow points 62 grain. Usually buy the cheap russian brown bear ammo
