Quad injections, does the depot move on you?

ad

The last couple times I have injected in my right Quad, I end up with a half a golf ball sized lump about 6 inches toward my knee from where I injected at. Does this happen to anyone else? Does the oil miss the muscle or somehow move between fibers or something? Also, it is a painful lump. Last time took a week to go away.

I'm a anatomy noob.

update okay, I took the advice and pinned in my right quad with a 1" this time instead of 5/8 and it made all the dif. I had no pip and no swole up lump down by my knee. I just must have not been in far enough. I think I was afraid of hitting bone before. Thanks everybody!

Do a 1 inch and make sure it goes in all the way and when you pull out massage the local area.

Yes. Happened to me. Crippled for 7 days migrated all the way to my knee. My mistake was using a 5/8 needle 25 gauge. I shot in my quad and the oil probably most likely went subQ. When I use a 1 inch needle 25 gauge I shoot really deep into my quad and I don't have those problems. Also it depends on your gear. I shot with UGL and it crippled me. When I use my TRT prescription oil I have very little pain. Some soreness. Quads have to be deep intramuscular I am convinced this is definitely a must. Never again 5/8 in the quad.

But I shot using a 1 inch 23 gauge in my delt. Buried it deep and it's a virgin delt never have I shot there before. I shot with my UGL cyp and I had very little soreness for a couple of days. So I'm convinced quad shots are hit or miss and must be deep intramuscular.

Right on, man. I think a lot of the issues as well is that your quads ate kind of like your back. No matter what you do, sit, stand, lay down, there's always a contracted muscle. I think that can contribute to some soreness as well.

i'll never pin the quads again...pinned three times and limped like a mofo for 5 days each time!

Water based winny used to cripple me when I shot in the quads. Nothing would really do much for it. Big knot would form and id stiffen up like crazy. I injected prop in my left quad yesterday and can't feel a thing. A few weeks ago I pinned 75mg test prop 50mg Tren a and 75mg mast prop in my right quad and knotted up like crazy. I think most of my issues are technique related. I've found that sitting down when I pin them helps a lot. My buddy says he's never really had any pip in his quads. Some guys are lucky I suppose. Advil and heat will take the edge off pretty well. Good luck bro.

Got my heating pad out..... Smile

Ohh, very cool answer. Thanks for easing my mind on this. So I guess it will absorb at the normal rate? Do you know why it does what it does, or just that it depends on various factors like compounds and such?

Well I think part of it is related to the bodies natural inflammatory response to invasive actions like injections.
In my case, it's because I didn't order pins in time and had to go to Quality Farm and Fleet and get livestock syringes and 22 gauge needles----just a 3 gauge jump made a difference-----and I shot 2 ml of prop and NPP into my quad. So what you have is::
a larger needle
Test prop
and another ml of NPP all going into a spot that is accustomed to much less trauma.

The heating pad will knock DAYS off your recovery time. Use it 3-4 times per day if possible--30 min each time, and work the quad through range of motion lightly.

I'm sitting here right this VERY MOMENT with a heating pad on my right quad.
Happens to me frequently whenever I use certain compounds from certain suppliers....or if I use a larger needle.
Stick to a 25 gauge, and use a HEATING PAD----NOT ice. The heat will help dissipate the oil. Take a little Motrin to help you walk around during the day.
It's common-----don't stress it.

I think most of the pain is just regular PIP but I'm keeping an eye on it. Thanks for the reply Bro!

I have had that happen to me delt but it wasnt painful and took about 2 weeks to go away.
