-1 Studies on testosterone and its affect on natural testosterone production
Everyone says that juicing shuts off your test and if you star too early you can end up on TRT for the rest of the life, or that your test levels don't recover fully etc.
It sounds like broscience to me. Are there any actual studies that confirm those claims? I don't think testosterone production is an on/off switch.
I've heard of several cases where young guys under 18 are put on test for a short period of time due to low levels by doctors. They would not do that if it would shut off their test.
EDIT:
To the mod who closed this:
I am not whoever you think I am. This is my only account and I'm doing a lot of reading, believe me. I did search prior to making this thread and there were no other threads that would answer this. I can only assume you did not fully read/comprehend what I wrote.
I should have clarified that I'm looking for pubmed articles. I just hoped this board had more science minded people who like to dig up studies and learn new things. Instead I get angry replies such as yours.
I don't understand how I'm trolling. I wasn't doing it intentionally. Sorry if looking for INTELLIGENT DISCUSSIONS was too much to hope for. Clearly I have angered you by looking for factual evidence that could challenge the common belief on these boards which in your mind equals trolling.
"Read more and write less". Really? 5 posts in 8 weeks compared to 5 per day that you make? Come on. If anything you are the one trolling. This thread had the potential of offering value and new knowledge to everyone here. Thank you.

Next your going to tell us, taking testosterone DOESN'T shrink your balls!
ETA: The WHO years ago was looking at using TestB to induce sterility in men in 3rd world countries.
What is with the attitude? Did I make ANY claims remotely similar to what you just said?
You've been here for 8 weeks...I've looked over your posts, and there's clearly something not right with you bro (or is it Rods/mazar?). You've not rated anyone...no reviews...no pics.....no friends...no comments. Just posts that are clearly designed to elcit responses to questions you should already have answers to. You're either a teenager, or you're intentionally poking around for responses---strictly for amusement.
Pull it together little Billy......quickly.
Care to elaborate? I'm poking around for amusement? Why would you assume that? Based on the five topics I've created?
Should I be one of the guys who has already done a cycle and made every single mistake possible, and has come here to ask more "practical" questions?
Amusement to you, research to me. I suggest you re-read the threads I made. Pretty far from trolling IMO.
No, you're A fucking troll...you're asking questions that were answered for you a THOUSAND times here at eroids.
Start doing more reading and less writing......and stop making posts that ask questions that you can find the answewr to in 3 minutes of READING.
And STOP putting every one of your posts in the general topic forum---where you know they will get in everyone's way.
THIS THREAD IS LOCKED, AND KEEP YOUR SHIT UP AND YOUR GONE!
No, I'm staying open minded. Just looking for evidence. Studies are the best we've got. I followed anecdotal dietary guidelines for years before breaking free of the nonsense and basing everything on studies. The results were better than ever.
AnonThis is not BRO science super this is a medical fact... same thing happens to women with exogenous progestin.. It can and in many cases WILL shut down the natural production of estrogen/progesterone completely .. it can be very unpleasant.
I understand that natural production will decrease due to excess hormones in the body - but what about recovery? The body heals. Is there any evidence that the body does not recover entirely and test production will be hampered/shut off for good? It just doesn't make much sense.
AnonYes there is evidence and the longer you cycle the and the more cycles the less the body is willing to "try to heal" itself.. it makes quite a bit of sense. The body is very efficient and when you add "extra" to it then the body says "oh, I don't need to make this anymore" ... when you hit that mechanism oftne enough and combine that with teratogens and environmental as well as age factors you damage the efficiency and functioning to the point where it isn't possible for the body to maintain equilibrium any longer.. hence aging ... hence the need to supplement, hence the need to use PCT to get your body functioning properly again after cycle..
tread-m"They would not do that if it would shut off their test". I help guys with trt/hrt everyday that feel like hammered ass from what their doctors "would not do" such as test C shots at 200mg every 3 weeks...really? Telling them they need estrogen supps on cycle....really? Sayiing free test levels of 100 are "normal for your age"....really? Saying they don't need to check estrogen levels for men....really? I have hundreds of those. If the lone study you found is all you need to confirm a bad idea then be my guest brother, you don't need our help to make a bad decision. Let us know how it turned out.
There are a lot of crappy unqualified doctors out there, no doubt about that.
I'm just trying to find out if there is more behind the shutting off theory than some guy saying it on the internet. Obviously I wouldn't ignore the common belief in the community... Wouldn't hurt to validate it though.
