OK I can't figure why my bi's are being so damn stubborn. My arms are thic but, I can not get the goose egg look I want. I change my routine weekley. I do alot of barbell curls, preacher curls, one arm curls, cable excersises and whatever else comes to mind! I normally do sets of 8 or 12's and go as heavy as I can without losin good form. So with that bein said whats up?? HELP

Here's what I do. You have to do hammer curls! Do em straight in front of you and do them cross shoulder. Then another thing I do on all my curls is go til failure pause like 7-10 seconds and do as much as you can again, pause again do this like 5 times then rest a couple minutes and do it again and again I call these the failure reps (this is when your putting shock on your muscle and making it go). And one more thing is pull ups and lat pull down work to get a peak too. So that's it for me do hammer curls, failure reps, pull ups and lat pull downs
Thanks bro great info!!
You may want to consider exploring peptides bro. Here's a good link to start out with... http://www.worldclassbodybuilding.com/forums/f224/mechano-growth-factor-...
Thanks brotha
OE2000Wiegs... got to talking to a couple guys at gym today about bicep growth, and 1 guy quickly chimed in.... gonna try to explain it the best way I can. Put a swivel bar on the lat-pulldown, he used the concentration curl bar. Now grip the bar is if you were going to do reverse-grip lat pulldowns. We used 60lbs. Sit with knees under the pads, and curl behind your neck/head, keeping your elbows next to your ears.... it looks stupid as hell, but you can feel this one ~~~~ later
ok tryin to get a mental pic of this... im so gonnna try this. so the curl would b reversed as well? away from me? lol thanks brotha!!! will update
OE2000Example: Sit with arms straight up over your head, turn your grip so your palms/back of your hands face each other, now curl... the imaginary bar is gonna hit the back of your neck.... maybe try to think of reversed overhead tricep extensions <----- but instead of pushing, your pulling Im trying bro...LMAO!
I got it bro dam serious pump even at a low weight!! Once again bro U come thru for me Cheers my friend!!
OE2000Hell yeah bro.... we did 60lbs for 15 reps.... then 45lbs for 30.... WOWOWOWOW The low rep routine don't do a thing for me but get me mad....hahahaa HAve a great weekend!
ETA: and as NastyNate81 told me, just passing on info that was passed to me!!! Cheers to you!
OE2000And are far as the goose egg, your not alone bro.... and there are plenty of other guys in the gym that have the same problem .... I've been trying to get those horseshoe triceps forever.... ain't happen so fuck it!!! Hit them crazy 8s ~~~~ later
Dude u r da man those crazy 8's have me walkin outta the gym ready to barf! Thanks so much for the great routines!
OE2000My pleasure bro, no need to thank me, just passing on what has been offered to myself ..... more to come
OVERTRAINING is the worst enemy of the bodybuilder. Sometimes more is less and less is more.
AnonI stopped training arms and guess what??? They are small muscles getting pounded from pulling off a back routine. eatbig nailed Bro!! OVERTRAINING. Check my Self Shots Double Rear Pic.......no arm training for months! POP'N the fuck out on top!
Bro I seen thats the shit I gave ya big props on your gains!!!
OE2000Damn, you look good old man....LMAO!!! jk bro, I ain't far behind you! Thanks to you and eatbig for the great tips!!! Now lets get this shit fireman!!!!
Ya im in brotha lets kill this shit!!! Jus dont make me barf in the process if so gonna bring my barf bag jus in case!!! LOL
OE2000LMAO.... bro, I won't be doing the leg routine for a while, damn right knee has been killin me ever since last weeks debauchery.... had them wrapped tight too... I'm going heavy on the MSM...
Thanks for the points bro. Ive seen people train everything five days a week at my local gym. chest, biceps, triceps, legs, back, shoulders, abs all in one work out, every work out 7 days a week and if they dont burn thier selves out in a month or two they never get any bigger. Then they wonder why they wont grow? Sometimes it is good to take some time off for a total recovery. If ive been working out continuisly five days a week for months or even a year at a time I sometimes like to take a week off for a toatal recovery. Your rite Abnormal, it helps me grow! Getting big takes place outside the gym too.
I 100% agree. Some old time BB's had huge arms but did very little (if any) direct arm work. What can you bench/chin? When you're benching 400 and can chin (underhand) with 50+ pounds added you'll have big old arms (subject to your genetics that is). Train the basics, eat and rest and forget the fancy routines and you'll grow bigger arms.
my max bennch is 265, and can chin w at most a 25 plate added.
Nasty81NateDo some 5-0-2's. 5 seconds coming up, 0 at the top, 2 seconds going down. Any type of curls with a bar. Then follow up with concentration curls with dumbells, hold it for 2 secs at the top. Do em everytime you do biceps. You'll thank me later.
hey Nate good deal bro gonna give it a try tommorow, u ever do 21's? heard they r killer to
maybe your over training them
ya maybe I dunno??
if you don't give em time to recover (2 days minimum) then they will never grow. You just keep breaking down muscles that are already broken down. Muscles grow when they rebuild because they repair in a way so that they can try to overcome the forces being put upon them next time. Muscles take time to grow. I personally split may days up just for this. I work out no longer than 1 hr and make evry one count. I change it up a bit constantly for muscle confusion and eat well with plenty of h2o.
