A major study on the effects of growth hormone was done by Dr. Edmund Chein, director of the Palm Springs Life Extension, and his associate Dr. L. Cass Terry, of the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Chein follows a certain protocol that involves administering low dose, high frequency injections to patients with an IGF-1 level less than 350 mg/ml. He also restores the other hormones of his patients. He claims that his anti-aging program has been 100% effective for all of his patients. He guarantees his patients a 1.5 - 2.5% increase in bone density, a loss of 10% body fat, and an increase of 10% muscle mass with every six months of therapy.
