I don't go heavier than 295; tweaked my shoulder 8 years ago and it's never been the same.

Back when I was competing I use to throw up 180kg on incline bench for 8 then a big set of incline flies and finish off with a 180kg flat bench for 8 as well. Mind you was on a truck load of gas at the time.

In high school at 165 I put up 315lbs. Then seven years later at 185 I put up 330.
All of that was without gear. Now I don't go heavier than 275lbs.

180 my Max bench is 260
I have hit over this but it was on the smith and I have heard it doesn't count.

Yea and to be honest For me it's a lot easier on a regular bench for certain weight because of more range of motion...smith doesn't allow ROM at all so idk but those heavy lifts are just safer on the smith for me

I'm 233 and bench 315 for 13.
I can hit decline for 15.
I can do 225 for 27-29 depending on the day.
I don't go above 315, or do less that 7 reps.

Stay natural as long as you can. Let your body develop.....and when you hit 30, go insane. Word.

It doesnt matter how much you bench. It how much you look like you can bench. Unless your a power lifter of course. In that case its the opposit.

agreed 100% . i forget which documentary i just watched which said the same thing.. kind of similar to any dorian yates training sessions. it isnt about the weight.. its about taking your muscles to failure in under 10 reps... and how much you LOOK like you can push
