Evil fructose?

So a lot of the bodybuilders in my are seem to think that fruit is evil when you are trying to cut fat. They associate fructose with regular simple sugars that stimulate an insulin response. However, fructose is an insulin independent monosaccharide, meaning its insulin response when consumed in a reasonable dose would be almost non-existent. I believe I once saw a study that you would have to ingest 5 servings of fruit all at once just to stimulate a noticeable insulin release. I guess what I am wondering is how do all of the dieters on here feel about fruit during a cut?
