Pre-Workout Stuff and Energy Drinks During WorKout.

ad

I see people in the gym all the time with lucozade and stuff and I'm sure they even buy overpriced pre-workout super supplements. Do they really make as difference? I watched a programme on TV where they scientifically tested energy drinks and the conclusion was it's all a big con. A programme called panorama on channel 4. Sure there's some info on that show somewhere.

Here is my pre-workout:

2 slices of bread with jam and peanut butter plus small amount of whey and loads of water while working out. My energy levels are fine for the entire workout.

What's your take on it?

For me preworkout I prefer eating an apple, drink a protein shake, and small protein bar about 30 min pre workout then drinking jack3d and bcaas right before I workout. I feel it makes a difference because once I skip something either my preworkout meal or the preworkout I do get fatigued easier.

for extensive workouts I love to take mr hyde (has 400mgs of caffeine)
and Jack3d

energy have too much sugar in them and generally make me feel like shit.

nano vapor, juggarnaut, blackpowder and all the other pre workouts i've tried work for about two weeks and then ass falls out of them and they become ineffective.

Yeah it's def mental, like if I'm happy with my appearance i'll dominate, that being said caffein is obviously a stimulant and most pre's have moderate to huge amours of it so it does get you going before a w/o, and there are many supplements that are effective at increasing a workouts quality (Like creatine) but if you have a clean diet with lots of greens and complex carbs before (Not necessary though) then you should have loads of energy. I take A B vitamin complex a calcium plus mineral tablet, and a cup of straight green tea no sugar no milk. Beta alanine gives you tingles and who knows if it's actually worth the money I have a couple of kilos of it though take it on occasion, don't notice any difference. I used to like Jack3d before I read the ingredients and saw the added sucralose, then stopped taking it. But placebo is another thing to take into consideration, of course when you're on gear who needs pre workout sups?

Just wanted to let you know though that calcium supplements have been linked to heart disease in men recently. Might not matter but thought should tell you. A link to a story here:

Pre-worx are for people with no internal drive. Dedication and perseverance is in your heart and in your mind if you are serious about the gym/fitness.
