20 Squat Routine....need some of your views!
Hey guys, i've been doing alot of research...loaaaddddssss infact on something i bumped across and its called the '20 squat routine ...aka milk and squat workout'.
Now apparently this routine gives u alot of mass on the legs..infact the whole body. every site i've looked on has said this routine is awesome, but i wanted to ask the eroids community their reviews on this as i somewhat trust this community alot more
Heres some basic info on the routine and an example of it:
1)its a 6 week routine and you do this 3 times a week eg Mon wed Fri
2) your supposed to drink about a gallon of milk everyday
Behind-the-Neck Press 3 12
Squat 1 20
Pull-Overs 1 20
Bench Press 3 12
Bent-over Rows 3 15
Stiff-legged Deadlift 1 15
I started this today as was intrigued by it, and so far i can say it was a tough workout but i did get diarhroea...
im assuming this is due to the amount of milk i drank, (half gallon)
anyways guys please give me some pointers, and reviews if u've tried it, thank you!

Ask The King Ronnie...
a gallon of milk a day? no thank you
yeh gallon a milk a day is alot....but remember this is a set time ie max 4- 6 weeks routine (like a mini cycle
i trialled this and the milk didn't hurt me at all, yeh discomfort for a few days and thats about it
also its a routine that alot of the famous strength lifters and bodybuilders have also used it so looking at some of their vids and suggestions i followed the routine so there must be some credibility to it .
behind the neck presses are a bad exercise imho. stick to dumbell shoulder presses instead. excessive milk consumption can be very bad for some folks. in my personal experience even just one tall glass makes me gassy and feel shitty so i do not drink much. if you want to build some beast legs one set of 20 isnt enough in my opinion. check out my forum post on how i grew my legs and squat power http://www.eroids.com/forum/training-nutrition-diet/workout-exercise/gro.... this routine worked great for me ive done it 3 times im still natty but will be gearing up this fall and i am sure i will see much greater strength gains
thanks for info

yes i agree with you, dumbells would be alot safer then the shoulder presses.
surprisingly, contrary to the thought that 20 reps isnt enough to grow on legs.....the intensity of this routine absoultey kills you and it 100percent makes you grow in strength and in size.
i did doubt i would see any results from the routine but upto the point i follwed it correclty until distractions started occuring, i made some good gains and now, a few months down the road i overall can say ive kept quite alot of the strength gains
Hey guys, been a few months now and i thought id give everyone an update on this routine and how it worked for me ............
well....the first week was full of diarrhea, and weird bloated stomach feeling

week 2 was getiin very painful and near the end of the week i was feeling overtired , lack of motivation towards the routine,,,,,however i did increase in strength very surprisingly and quickly, legs felt heavier too!
i felt the results were coming , but this made me get over excited mid week 3, i decided to mess up the whole routine and i ended up injecting some gear and having some D-Bols
well, on hindsight it wasn't a good thing to do as it didn't allow me to see the full effects of the workout routine in its natural aspect, but i am not disappointed i had the gear! i saw amazing results and by the end of the 6 weeks i had gained 9kg , which is not bad for me
if i see results and ive put work behind it, im happy whether ive been on a cycle or not .
by week 6 my strength gains had gone massive and for the first time in my life i comfortably did 18 reps on 140kg on the SQUATS
man behind the neck presses seem like an injury waiting tO happen. i quit that awhile back, be careful my man
I don't think it is so much the lifting routine helping to put on mass as much as it is the milk. Most peoples diets are shit. The reason most of them are probably gaining some mass now with this routine is because they are finally getting the extra calories they need to finally grow from all the milk they are drinking. Nothing wrong with the lifting routine whatsoever, but take the milk out of this equation and I bet most of those people aren't going to see any gains.
yeh thats a valid point, i think it may just be due to the extra calories. But nevertheless if it works for someone then good for them
apart from just the milk i think the training might actually help as well because your going to be training full body at high intensity 3 times a week so it will contribute to some degree , what do you think?
The training routine has some merit and as long as intensity is maintained and there is weekly progressive overload, I don't see why one wouldn't be able to build some muscle with the proper diet.
The routine has only 20 reps of squat....doesn't contain leg press or lunges etc....do u think that this will still add mass to the legs?
It depends how experienced the persons muscles are. For somebody just starting out in there lifting career with less than a couple years under their belt that workout will have them limping and sore all over with the proper time under tension. For someone like me who has been lifting for 25+ years it wouldn't cut it. I don't know what the tempo for that routine is but to make it work for me I would need maximum time under tension. I'd be talking a minimum of 6 sec negatives (maybe even 10 sec negatives). 20 reps with a 6030 tempo (6sec neg, 0 sec pause at bottom, 3 sec concentric and 0 sec pause at top) and I'd be feeling it. Especially done 3x/wk.
When I first started working out hard I was drinking a gallon a day to bulk. Went from like 170-220 in a year all natural but was super puffy and didn't like that. If you can handle a lot of milk, I can, I think it's great for bulking. Can sip on it all day. That's a lot of extra calories and protein. Definitely not for everyone tho
Day 1, i had sever diarrohea ! i didnt think i can handle the that much milk but now its day 2, no problems at all!
although i noticed that because i was drinking so much milk, my water consumption decreased.....im sure thats not a good thing !
but yeh i think if your body can handle the milk then its good for you
i saw a BBC documentary a few months back where tested a few postworkout drinks compared to milk, and it turned out that milk is one of the best recovery drinks straight after a workout. They tried it with 11 rugby players, made them workout the same, and gave half milk, the others had some post workout drink,,,,,and it turned out the next day the milk drinkers were less sore than the other guys.
is the milk all youre suppose to take in for calories or is that in addition to your diet?...also I wanna know why milk could you not just do a few shakes?
the milk is addition to your diet. im not sure exactly why milk but this is the old school routine as per say
I cant imagine why it would need to be a gallon of milk a day...that's insane...possible side effects include stomach cramps, being in the bathroom more than the gym, and a lighten stack of cash from spending $120 a month on milk
RustyhookerIm Hella short. And old. I switched squats for hip sled. 15reps for 8 sets and upper legs measurement hit 27. At 5-4 and 27in thighs I'm happy with it.
utube...Farrah and kai green in Ireland. I switched on hipsled from 650 for 10 to 360 for sets of 15 and got more pump with less knee pain. Longevity is a beotch.
Milk...good for calories but someones laughing at the side effects right now.
