post workout nutrition during a cutting phase?

ad

Im trying to get rid of some fat that ive put on during my last 3 cycles. Ive cut sugart down to almost nothing. Im uinsure of what my post workout shake should consist of. Should i just do 40-60 grams of whey and nothing else or should i include some fast carbs? I appreciate it.

CPWO or carbless post work out... check out the subject more at Datbtrue forum, amazing info over there, but if you are trying to lose weight then a carbless post work out is the way to go. You basically want to avoid carbs for a long period of time after your work out even up to the extent of say 36 hours which only works if you lift every other day... but the longer you can avoid carbs the better...

It seemed counter productive to my knowledge and experience but a lot of guys have had good results with this type of training. They have also tried alternate day fasting combined with CPWO. But my personal experience, I have yet to try this, well to an extent I already do it because I work out late in the evening and my late night meals are low carb but I usually only go about 8-10 hours without carbs after a workout.

Once again though check out datbtrue forum and sign up. Lots of good info over there. Cheers

If you'd like my input as Biosignature background- if your fat deposition is dominant in the iliac crest (love handles) and upper back (subscap), there's likely issues with insulin . .so my PWO shake would be
40g whey
40 g glutamine
10 g taurine
10 g glycine

If you're lean at these sites but store moreso in the frontal abdominal area, cortisol is your issue . .so may I suggest the above but replace the glutamine with dextrose/ maltodextrin mix as the insulin will drop your cortisol.

Hope that helps . .much of this material is covered in the nutrition and supplement articles at charlespoliquin.com - I'm a practitioner but do not benefit from providing this site- I promise.

Mate the est thing to do is actualy eat your nutrients not drink them. Shakes are exactly what they say they are, a supplement to your diet. THey shouldn't become the staple for nutrition. Eat good clean protien and fiberous carbs after a workout and you will fare much better. If anything straight after a workout have some Xtend ofr the like to get amminos straight in while you get cooking.

I use proffesional supplements hyperbolic it has some fast carbs, aminos, glutamine basically everything thats good for post workout plus I add 50 grams of whey isolate to top it off then a one hr later have my meal.

What I have noticed works for me is sticking to complex carbs post workout. When I load up on simple carbs post workout (even when cutting) I still feel like I keep a layer of fat and feel a little bloated. When I bulk though I alway get some fast carbs to get the nutrition to my muscles faster.

Everyone is different, so what works for me might not work for you. This is just what works for me. good luck on your cutter
