Intermittent fasting?
ad
Has anyone tried intermittent fasting? I've heard alot of good feedback from this from different sites
Basically you shorten the time when you eat, still eating 5-8 meals a day. for example.. eating between 2 PM - 8 PM so you have around 15 hours without food so its easy to burn calories? I'm tempted to try this out when I reach around 90kg, what do you think?

Yeah I tried the 5/2 fasting diet, ate normally for 5 days then 600 calories on non consecutive fast days. Hard until you work out you can still eat quite a lot if greens at low calories and still feel relatively full all day plus bump up the water and use slightly warmer water.
Worked a treat, consistent weight loss and I didn't binge after a fast day either, in fact I probably ate less on normal days too.
Good for dieting but muscle loss is to be expected if you're calorie restricting over a longer period.
I did it for a few weeks but it started conflicting with school. I would feel very cloudy and couldn't focus in class so I had to stop. It's great if you don't have to do a lot of critical thinking, but if you are in higher classes at university it can really have a negative effect on brainpower.
i did it thru my engineering MSc programme. As with all things, you can adapt.
I did IF for 8 weeks a long time ago(5years). It worked great, I don't use it now because I get nasty when I'm fasting. Wife, friends, kid don't like my ass when I'm a grump. Lost around 15lbs while gaining a bit of muscle and strenght. I always weaved in 200-300 calories of icecream also in my feed window. Yes I'm a fat kid at heart.
I did 16-18hour fasted, ate my calories as preworkout and post workout. 2400 calories is a ton of food for three meals when its clean. Hence the icecream.
I just started it last week...it went better than I thought! I train fasted now at 11 AM with only 10 gram BCAAs pre workout. I'm also on test and 100mg anavar so I guess that helps lol. It seems to be working though, I'm getting leaner with no loss of strength or size
Id prefer still getting late night protein in so muscles aren't starving. I typically am up working etc for 18hrs a day. I'm not a fan of starving at all.
