Your favorite muscle to train?

ad

If I had to choose my all time favorite muscle to train it would have to be..my back hell yeah!

I love training my back, always hitting the lats hard going 4 sets to failure. maybe even more it depends, always thinking of that V body!!

I love to train legs, arms and back even though it kicks my ass. Abs and calves bore me to tears but I do them. Usually I get bored with bis too, but when I diet they look freaky it motivates me so it's ok for now. What about ya'll?

I do damned near full-body workouts everyday. I don't get one muscle at a time. Your body works as a single unit, why not train it as such?

I feel that way as well. Seems like a lot more sense to me but I often end up doing the same old 2 muscle groups a day. At my best I'm doing full body workouts but even then nothing beats the DB press for me so I'll claim chest as my favorite.

for me its chest then back!!

Chest gives me the best pumps but when you go into the squat rack and load up 4 plates everybody in hte gym starts lookin at you ;)

I like to do leg and back exercises the most; front squats and back squats are my favorite as well as compound back exercises like bent-over rows and pull-ups. Also, I like to throw in some Hungarian Dead Lifts. I can really feel the pump on those.

Cant beat a heavy back day! lat pumps are crazy

Well it has to be legs. Before I get started training them I am almost shaking with fear beacuse I know whats coming. But once they are done and the stomach has settled down and the headache has subsided it's just awesome. Even better are the days afterwards is when you are so sore that you can't even sit down on the toilet to have a dump. Next would be back

I know what you mean. I brainwashed myself to love legs. I wait less then a minute between sets just to get it done. Now I'm on a 5x5 programme doing squats 3 times a week. Loving it lol had to stop doing heavy half squats due to the fact it was killing my knees.

wallabokkie's picture

Yeah cool mate I love the 5x5 training. I am currently doing 10x10. It is an absolute killer. Try doing 10 sets of 10 squats with 110kg with no longer than 60 sec rest. For people that have never don any of these types of training give this a go. Only the brave ones will stick it out (or stupid. thats me)

ViolentChopper's picture

hides in fear lol
That sounds crazy. I'm gonna have to try it one day. I'm loving 5x5.

I hated back, cus I didnt know wtf I was doing..after my back and mind got in sync everything changed, for sure my favorite now

ViolentChopper's picture

Has to be legs. Squats rock. I find forearms the most painful. They burn like hell

think the reason that bodyweight chest exercises such as press ups form the foundation of so many conditioning programs from elite forces to boxing and Muay Thai is because years of experience has shown just how quickly strength and fitness can be built up with training programs that incorporate them.

Legs, I look forward to squats. Its a mind-set and like taking myself to the edge with them.

dbow's picture

By your username, I figured you would say legs! I love it and totally agree. Legs are the difference maker. Let em know, its hot down there in the basement, you can't be scared! lol

indabasement's picture

Ha! No doubt bro. But now I dont get too far past 90 degrees because of my old knees. But its still deeper than most of the poor excuses trying to squat in my gym.

ac89's picture

I love training everything. Maybe chest a little more because my chest is under developed and I look complete when I have a good chest pump.
