+ 2 how to prevent metabolism from slowing down
The body is a homeostatic organism. It tries to keep itself the same, to keep everything in balance. So when you cut back on your calorie intake, your metabolism will eventually slow down in response, which is bad for your dieting goals. Hard training, both in the gym and doing cardio helps to keep the metabolic rate stimulated. But another way is by varying your calorie intake over time. So for example your if you normally eat 3,200 calories a day and have gone on a 2,000 calorie diet. As your body begins to notice the calorie restrictions , it will slow down accordingly . But you don't need to actually eat as few as 2,000 calories every day you can average 2,000 calories. you do this by increasing calories for a day or so {say 2,600} dropping them way down {1,600} for a few days , then bring them back up to 2,000 calories. Additionally ,every week or so you can add a day of calorie intake at your previous level {3200} to further stimulate your metabolic rate. by dieting yhis way you will be ensuring that your metabolism is functioning at the highest possible level and therefore burning more calories in spite of your reduced calorie diet. Hope this helps someone and fill free to add anything else.

Good Info! Thanks +1
This is wht i do say i cut with 2.8k cals (500 defecit) for 4 days then for 2 days before my full out cheat day ill drop them to 1800cals so (1500 defecit) and then cheat day boom hit it with 8-10k cals lol and i look leaner within 2 days after and fuller. Just wht i prefer:) love my cheat dys becausr i personally dnt beilive in a single day even if you eat in a 3.5k surplas you will gain a pound of fat doesnt work like that in a day, assuming your cutting extremely like i am. However if ur bulking or doing a moderate cut a full cheat day could be bad and maybe u just need a high carb day with 1 cheat meal.
sounds pretty close to what I've been doing lately. been playing with carb cycling. I'll have 3 high carb days at 620g and then 2 days at maintenance 320g and then below maintenance 120g. of course this is for gaining weight not losing like yours.
I wish I could eat 620g of carbs in a day. I have about 125 a day, 6 days a week. In two days you eat my entire week of carbs, hahaha, must be nice.
why only 125g of carbs? it's not that nice sometimes I fill like puking.lol
I'm trying to drop bf, I can imagine, that's a ton of food.
