+ 1 Got Milk?

ad

Hello. I'm trying to add calories to my daily diet and I'm thinking that drinking a gallon of whole milk per day might be an easy way to add calories. Does anyone here do this, or does anyone have opinions (good or bad) about this.
I'm not really concerned with losing or gaining weight, just leaning out some without losing muscle. My biggest problem has always been not getting enough calories.
Thanks for your time.

Check this posting out that Viking Power posted a while back, Mate.

It MAY have exactly what you're looking for to increase your calorie intake from just two easy to consume servings a day.

That's where I got the peanut butter shake from ;)

I sometimes substitute the almond butter for 100gs of Nutella Chocolate Spread.

It adds approx 150 more calories to the total and approx 2 grams more fat too. But for bulking, I'll accept the add ons.

Plus, just for the difference in tastes, it helps to stop it getting boring and/or mundane too.

It doesn't read like it'll be an easy mix to get down, but it's surprisingly easy to get down IF you remember to blend the oats up finely before adding the other ingredients to the shake.

Glad you're enjoying it, Mate

It's a method called GOMAD (gallon of milk a day) promoted by mark ripptoe or however you spell is name. It's a good way to get a ton of cals, and protein. But the carb and fat sources are far from ideal. But with that being said I drink probably 1/4 gallon a day or nmore on a bulk. Each cup is 150 cals so if you drink 4-6 that's 600-800 extra calories.

My personal opinion on this is to avoid RGHB and hormonally charged milk altogether.
Even milk that says "hormone free" just means that the levels of hormones and antibiotics in the milk are below FDA standards.
Range fed organic raw is the only milk I drink, and sparingly.

I know many would disagree on this one, but I have family that are dairy farmers, and I've seen the dark side.

I get my 3800 calories a day from piles of veggies, fruit, and fresh organic meats. If you can afford it, it is the way to go.
