Digestive problems

ad

This is what got me very concerned for years about digestive problems.

I never had this problem before but whenever I eat oats, I get gas, I eat 3 cups of

oats a day one in the morning and 2 in the evening.

If my body isn't digesting the food, does that mean the carbs and calories don't

count for the day? the gas is because the bacteria are eating the undigested food,

but does that mean the carbs I ate from oatmeal don't count because the bacteria are

stealing my food?

I am lactose intolerant but I eliminated lactose food in my diet.

I am not gluten intolerant, and this digestive problem never happened before, it

started yesterday for some odd reason.

Take a digestive enzyme supplement to make sure your digestive system is not out of balance.

yes it is but this doesn't answer my question, my body isn't digesting it properly, I take in about 120 grams of oats a day but I get gassy and bloating, never happened before in my life.

There is a reason for sure. You aren't soaking ur oats. By not soaking ur oats ur not breaking down an enzyme that coats the oat and as long as it is intCt u won't get much nUtriyional benefits without soaking them. Buy this book: Nourishing Traditions

This makes pretty good sense, but all I really do with oats is pour water into it, stir it up and microwave it for 2 minutes... Wouldn't it have the same effect?

Carlos Danger's picture

I thought the same thing but no apparently not. Bro u need to buy Nourishing Traditions it's a cookbook.

I ate pretty much every carb in my life, never experienced bloating and gas from non gluten free breads. It's the first time ever I got this problem from oats.

Twist's picture

Nope, haven't used whey in 2 months. Am I sill getting benefits if my body doesn't digest the food and give me gas? I ate oatmeal with eggs today.
