What type of carbs?
Ok, im in the midst of a deca test e cycle and obviously i want to bulk up. I've read lots and lots about what to eat and when to eat it. Well i came the the conclusion that i needed to eat fast carbs for breakfast and post workout only. The rest of the day the carbs would consist of brown rice, oatmeal, whole grain breads, ect. Today a trainer at the gym told me that for bulking i should be eating potatoes and white rice only. Told me to save the brown rice for trimming up. I'm again confused as shit. I'm 6'2" 227. 15-20%bf. I eat 6-7 meals per day, lots of ground beef, some tuna, 8 eggs a day. i supplement 1 scoop of whey with each meal and eat 1lb of green viggies per day. My carbs are way up, 600-700 grams of carbs. All brown rice and oatmeal. I'm not gaining as much as id like to be honest but at the same time im not bloating at all and not gaining much if any fat. What do you guys think?

For me guys :potatoes, brown rice ,quacker and fruits{green apples} if you want to gain lean muscle is the best!but i prefer to slow donw at 250-280grams per day !
The difference in white potatoes and white rice compared to sweet potatoes and brown rice is first, white rice is bleached and stripped of alot of its nutrients. White potatoes and white rice are high on the glycemic index. What does this mean? It means they spike your insulin higher and faster. The excess insulin left over that your body doesnt burn is stored as fat. That is why during a bulking cycle most guys dont care about a little excess fat. Remember the myth that you cannot gain good weight and lose fat at the same time? Thats bullshit! I went from 214 to 227 pounding chicken, lean beef, sweet potatoes, oats, fruit(minimal), almonds and veggies. I also took in other healthy fats like Safflower oil with my meals and MCT oil with my shakes. I ate 7-8 times a day. Daily avg. protein was 285-315, daily avg. carbs 420-500, healthy fats avg. 125-150, calories 3400. One great diet is Paleo diet. All meats, nuts, veggies and fruit. I modified it some and ate oatmeal. Hope this helps a little. In my experience trainers at a local gym are fucking retards! Most have no idea of diet, workout routines, form, etc. Unless they have competed in either body building or powerlifting. They took a test online and got a bullshit cert.
If you dont care about fat yes do what he said. but if your'e not wanting to put on fat do slow digesting, he seems like a dumb ass
