+ 2 Protein per Serving!!!
ad
Sup everyone. Im not too sure if this has been mention but I have researched abit about protein intake per Serving.... I was hoping if someone can inform me on how much protein the body can digest per serving? There is a lot of mixed opinion and im feeling lost.. People say your body can only use 30-40 grams of protein a meal and others say 60-100 grams..
Im guessing it differs between each individuals?
Is there a limit on protein per serving?
Does it increase when your cycling?
Your response will be appreciated
Cheers

aynazppr75Its the half in average you can intake at each meal in grammes, so a BB of 100 kilos can ingerate 50 g / proteins at each time, a 80 kilos BB / 40 g ... and ...
Haven't heard of this before. Any research to back this up? Will like to hear more
Thanks
aynazppr75"Considerable debate has taken place over the safety and validity of increased protein intakes for both weight control and muscle synthesis. The advice to consume diets high in protein by some health professionals, media and popular diet books is given despite a lack of scientific data on the safety of increasing protein consumption. The key issues are the rate at which the gastrointestinal tract can absorb amino acids from dietary proteins (1.3 to 10 g/h) and the liver's capacity to deaminate proteins and produce urea for excretion of excess nitrogen. The accepted level of protein requirement of 0.8g x kg(-1) x d(-1) is based on structural requirements and ignores the use of protein for energy metabolism. High protein diets on the other hand advocate excessive levels of protein intake on the order of 200 to 400 g/d, which can equate to levels of approximately 5 g x kg(-1) x d(-1), which may exceed the liver's capacity to convert excess nitrogen to urea. Dangers of excessive protein, defined as when protein constitutes > 35% of total energy intake, include hyperaminoacidemia, hyperammonemia, hyperinsulinemia nausea, diarrhea, and even death (the "rabbit starvation syndrome"). The three different measures of defining protein intake, which should be viewed together are: absolute intake (g/d), intake related to body weight (g x kg(-1) x d(-1)) and intake as a fraction of total energy (percent energy). A suggested maximum protein intake based on bodily needs, weight control evidence, and avoiding protein toxicity would be approximately of 25% of energy requirements at approximately 2 to 2.5 g x kg(-1) x d(-1), corresponding to 176 g protein per day for an 80 kg individual on a 12,000kJ/d diet. This is well below the theoretical maximum safe intake range for an 80 kg person (285 to 365 g/d)."
Thank you. This is really informative. Appreciate your response
There isnt a specific amount of protein you can take in per sitting or in a certain amount of time. Although honestly I believe like anything else that has to do with the human body, the longer someone uses a specific nutrient, the more efficient the body will become at using that nutrient.
Thanks for your reply. And I also agree that the longer you consume the nutrient, the more you can digest to a point. But that's "bro science" I guess
RustyhookerPer sitting 30-50. That's why i like 6 meala a day. Also you gotta remember that protein breaks diwn to ammonia. So lots of water is required to keep kidneys flushed.
I've been doing Intermittent fasting and eating all my calories in a 6 hour eating window. I consume about 300grams of protein a day and eat 3 big meals within that 6 hours.
It works out to be 100grams a meal, will my body digest that amount of protein? I do drink plenty of water but I always get the farts and shits occasionally. LoL
Thanks for the response
