+ 1 Diet Criticism Please

ad

I think my diet is pretty good for the most part. Recently had some issues with my body due to stress and possibly bunk product. I pretty much do this diet year round because it works for me. Sometimes I'll carb down and carb up but protein stays the same. I feel like I need some input to really take my nutrition to the next level. If you guys can add some things to my diet or give me other suggestions I would appreciate it. My goals are to be a solid 255-260. Not looking to step on stage but I think I can take my body to the next level.

Age:31
Height: 6'3
Weight 250
Body Fat: maybe 12% (never measured it)

1st Meal 700am: 40 grams of whey (two packs of Splenda), four eggs, one cup of oat meal, one slice of bacon, and an orange (pre-workout).

2nd Meal 930am: Gatorade, 40 grams of whey with (BCAA, fish oil, joint sup) Port-workout.

3rd Meal 1000am: 12oz of steak, one cup of cooked white rice, and avocado.

4th Meal 1230pm: 10oz chicken, 8oz sweet potatoes.

5th Meal 300pm: 10oz chicken, 8oz sweet potatoes.

6th Meal 530pm: 10oz chicken, handful of spinach and banana.

7th Meal 730pm: 10oz chicken, handful of spinach.

8th Meal 1100pm (last meal): 6 egg whites and 2 whole eggs, red pepper, huge glass of whole milk and avocado.

I eat in the middle of the night not by choice (wake up sick from not eating). I usually grab yogurt or something sweet (helps me sleep). I drink a gallon of water a day sometimes more. Please tear my diet apart or add more or take away. No feelings will be hurt. I feel maybe I'm missing something. Thanks for the input.

Meal 1. Add 1 more egg and maybe add milk to the oats or whey.
Meal 6. Remove the bananna

You got 4 chix meals in a row. I'd get tired of that real quick. Sub 1 or 2 if those with ground beef, ground turkey, or fish.

Don't sleep on

Cream of rice
100% whole wheat pasta and breads
Natural pb
Almonds and all their cousins
Cottage cheese
Greak yogurt
Black beans and rice
Lentils
Cod liver oil

Shrimp scampi - pasta, shrimp, olive oil, lemon, red pepper flakes

Switching up once in a while will help you stay consistant and fight off boredom. Other than that 90% of that diet looks legit enough to hit your goal.

Thank you for the ideas. Man the crazy thing is I don't get sick of eating the samething because I know in the end what I will eventually look like. I work long hours everyday so the easier I keep it the easier it is for me to get the cooking done. I will through in some of your ideas and mix it up a little bit. Thank you for the advice.

Not so much cutting weight but I want a solid build. I know I can trim down a bit but I have to watch it very closely because most times I get to lean to fast. I wrote this thread just to see if y'all think I might benefit from other foods or add more of something. I know everyone has something that works for them. Just trying to broaden my ideas.

Yea I think this will help. Broccoli tears me up none stop. Iwill try the asparagus in some of my meals. Regardless I will start throwing in greens every meal to see how that makes me feel. But I eat the sweet potatoes because when I follow carb it kills my energy and I feel useless. Thanks for the advice

Well you have an avocado in there which is good but id add some more good fats, table spoons of mac oil or olive oil with a few of those meals, or some almonds with a few of those meals. Easy way to add some more calories becuase those options are so dense and good fats are a necessary part of a good diet.

Your right, I will start throwing them in every other meal. Thanks.

this will tell you all it benefits over olive oil.

Use both of them...mac is a hard nut...i eat mixed nuts daily...i use olive oil ed too in my eggs and salads. when olives are pressed for oil that seed is hard and tough, which contains a fair amount of HDL...

have you considered the screw in ceramics? Im missing teeth from my boxing days and they did a bone density test and said im a perfect candidate. Problem is cost, so fkn expensive.

Sounds like i wanna try it...

Add 12oz of chicken/beef/turkey to 930am meal along with adequate amount of carbs and fats...

I will try that, thank you
