Should I purchase milk thistle to help with liver issues while taking orals or is it just a myth that I should not waste my money on?

The only thing I know is I take milk thistle. Im a pretty heavy drinker, of course after the gym. Pretty much dont do to many orals anymore but have done super d and dball not together but during different cycles in the past. Have blood work done every three months and my liver function test has always come back normal. So I feel it works. The super drol was so harsh on me, both times I had to stop after the 11 day at 20mg. I can post blood work that I had done 2weeks ago, if anyone needs to see. I do blast and cruise for life. Some day will drop the blast. At 40 im to far gone to ever recover from years of use. So my study shows it works.
I'd take anything you think might possibly have efficacy as protection against heptatoxiity. I'm highly sceptical about glucosamine and shark cartilage but because I assign I high priority to bone health and connective tissue health / strength I take them anyway. And I take milk thistle, dandelion extract, globe artichoke, taurine and a whole host of other shit to protect my liver and keep it healthy all the time.
The health of your liver is a huge limiting factor in your potential to make gains as it's essentially a laboratory that does a lot of the work on a molecular level that needs to be done in order to build muscle tissue. You want to take some or all of the above all the time whether you're on heptatoxic orals or not.
Keeping your liver healthy is actually one of the ways you will most efficiently maximise gains. What you don't realise is you can get away with damaging your liver a little with orals and likely live happily ever after but that little bit of damage will reduce your liver's ability to efficiently perform tasks needed to build muscle.
Macro ratios and calory counting is easy but micronutrients not so much. If you want to maximise gains whether juicing or not the first place to look is diet then if you're still not getting snywhere look into health(hormones, liver function etc)
TronTudca.
medical studies that have been run show no benefits to liver protection, most of the ones done have been so with people with liver problems such as alcohol related and diabetic patients, and there was zero change in their livers. Clinical trials also shown zero change. BUT it has been shown to lower bad cholesterol so all is not lost. Do a search because there are many articles proving it to be worthless for liver support that I could be adding over a hundred links to the studies. Go to ncbi.nlm.nih.gov and do a search. There you will find documented scientific research that backs up what I write. Save your money and buy tudca which does work hence why its not cheap.
If the time I need to spend being convinced it's worthless worth the amount of money I'd save not buying it then it might be worth my while looking into that but as I take milk thistle in a multi liver tonic it's not worth my while checking those studies. You mention one study was with people with highly damaged livers like alcoholics. Perhaps it doesn't protect against alcohol but does against some other heptatoxic substances. I'm health conscious in General and I err on the side of caution - esoecially when it comes to the liver.
I provided the tool for people to use, I cant make you actually research what you put into your body or convince you otherwise. I actually research stuff before I use it.
Are you suggesting it's harmful? If the studies you mention conclude it's harmful then I would most certainly research it. If they merely claim it has no efficacy then it's really not worth my while because I'd have to go through the methods and conclusions drawn and so on. I don't doubt the studies. But it's one of many ingredients in a liver tonic.
Bro its no myth many studies behind it its very true
Buy the standardized bottle start taken it at least 2 weeks b4 you start the orals and do labs to monitor your liver everyone reacts differently
I would but i rarely use orals, i dont drink either so it would be worthless in my case. When I did use tbol and winny I researched what supp would work and what wont, ALL scientific studies showed tudca worked and milk thistle did NOTHING. If you read the studies you would have found that out. its about regenerating destroyed cells, Tudca regenerates, Milk thistle does not. Maybe read the studies then make your decision.
Tudca is one of the ingredients in the liver tonic I take.

Sir alcohol and acetaminophen are very liver toxic if it can help with that why wouldnt it help with an oral steroid thats liver toxic
I never said TUDCA wasnt effective
In that case lets bring up another supplement that work very well Liv.52DS each ingredient in that is a great liver antioxidant and protector you cant leave milkthistle out of te equation
Iv done blood work taking 20mg superdrol for 2.5 weeks with 525mg of milkthistle and my liver enzymes and pancreatic enzyme were all stable
Everybody is different thats for sure what works me may not work for you.
In conclusion we should all take milk thistle TUDCA and liv.52DS to be safe
Its used to maintain liver health and to protect the liver from the effects of toxins such as alcohol and a host of liver related diseases. Fatty liver, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis Fibrosis and Cirrhosis Hepatic toxicity caused by steroid usage. Also why would you buy something if you weren't sure if it works ? Did you even look in to it ?? Yes I use it. The are also more products out the to help with protecting the liver.
I buy quite a few things I'm sceptical about. It's a calculated cost / potential benefit or cost / potential risk decision. In terms of micronutrients I spend a lot of money and time to make sure I'm not deficient in anything and also that I don't double up on some things that can be harmful in too high a dosage(eg, Vit K = coagulant in relatively small doses. Boosting zinc a little is great. Boosting it too much = low HDL levels).
