blood pressure supps
Ok guys, I am in sort of a personal dliemma here, as I am cutting down some of my heart supps between cycles here. What does everyone think is better for BP control...CoQ10 or Grape Seed extract? They are both expensive and I would like to deal with maybe just one for a lil' while.
The CoQ10 is good, and it is really an antioxidant also. But if I am not mistaken, I believe Grape Seed extract is as well...well it has the ployphenyl resveratrol in it, which has antioxidant properties also. The one positive thing about CoQ10 is that it is more natural in the sense of supplements as your own body actually produces it for some time being until you begin aging in your 30's. Does it even matter as they are both proven effective at what they do?

a great supplement that helps and also gives a good amount of energy is niacin. its part of the vitamin b family (B3). I have had great success with B3
Older thread but I had been having palpitations, non stress related and nixed them with CoQ-
Good thread, I was about to ask the same thing. I have Haw berry already, just picked up some Folic Acid and Garlic, as well as CoQ10. Gonna give them a try, as well as the apple cidar.
Be careful with CoQ10. I took CoQ10 for a month always before bed never before excercising. If you see the link bellow one study found the use of CoQ10 before excercising can interfer with blood oxygen transportation and can lead to organ damage. See: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/coenzyme-q10/NS_patient-coenzymeq10/DSE...
Thanks for this man, I just picked up some CoQ, had no idea.
I take it after lunch...so that is usually AFTER workouts and WAY BEFORE bed.
WithdrawlUbiquinol (a more bio available form of CoQ10) is even better than regular CoQ10. It's a little more expensive but every 100mg of ubiquinol equals 400-600mg of CoQ10.
I use COQ10 @100mgs ED. I know this has been talked about before, apple cider vinegar works great for me to keep BP normal (110/70). Example: went on a bacon extravaganza for about a week, BP was 140/90.... after consuming 1/2 cup vinegar in 1 gallon distilled water per day, 48 hours later, blood pressure was back to normal ;) Don't know if this will work for a genetic issue??? Haven't tried the grapeseed extract.... Keep us posted
I use coq-10 and hawthorn berry. I also get on 10mg lisinopril if it gets too high but I don't like to do that.
If you have bp issues you may need to get it checked by a doc. Or if you are overweight that could add to it. But if you are like me it's a genetic thing.
I just do this for preventitive measures...it's in my genetic makeup to have cardiovascular problems later on in my life if I don't take care of myself, which really isn't the problem...I'm a pretty bulky mofo(235 and BF around 11%) and eat clean every day of the week except for a cheat every 7-10 days. I just know that the roids can affect the heart and BP and all...like when I found out in the past running some dbol, LOL.
Just wanted to get some input from other folks....so thank u.
