+ 1 Gains to expect on first cycle? What were yours?

What type of gains could one realistically expect on a first cycle of 500mg/wk of test e for 12 wks. (of course assuming diet, training, pct are dialed in). I have been doing it natty for 20+ years and think I have hit my genetic potential. I would love to now be able to gain 20 lbs and keep 15 post cycle. Is this possible if everything is done right?

Curious as to what other peoples gains were for their first cycle (assuming you used all of the good advice from eroids and did everything correctly)?

haha brother I just stumbled upon this.. Can't remember if I saw this before but quite funny. I think my first ever cycle was around the same time as well. of course I wasn't on eroids yet.. test and dbol with poor pct (barely enough clomid and nolva) and no ancillaries/anti estrogens. blew up like a damn balloon though. must been a great shock to my HPTA...

I gained 28lb and kept 14lb and kept 90% of strength gains... I put my hands up tho I'd say I got some bf to lose after this cycle.
My cycle was tri test400 200mg e3d.. my pct was rubbish too as first cycle consisted of nolva 20 20 10 10.

This time round I got everything on hand so will be interesting see results.

My BF is probably lower than 15%. I got that number from the bathroom scale that I have that gives BF%, muscle %, etc. I mainly use those numbers to see how my percentages are changing on a weekly basis. If BF% is going up I can dial back the cal and if cutting I can see the % drop etc. I have a visible 6-pack and good veins on shoulders/chest/biceps.

I'm with you on that. I may have not hit my FULL potential, but it is somewhat disappointing after busting your ass training and keeping a good diet to only gain a few pounds of muscle a year. Been doing it that way for many years,but pretty soon I think I am going to be old to train like I do now so I am hoping to put on some good quality masss in the next few years and then train and diet to keep it.

I have also recently done some prohormone cycles and made some good gains. 8lbs on trenazone/epi cycle and another 8 on ultradrol. Have kept most of those gains because of good pct, diet and training. After putting my dues in for 20+ years on diet and and training alone, I jumped into PH and hopefully now I will be able to make more impressive gains using AAS.

171lbs @15%BF... i disagree that you have reached natty potential.. and please do not consider AAS whilst carrying that figure... someone had to bring reality to this post.. looks like it had to be me lol.

Some more background on my diet and training.
My BMR is about 2600cal so I am eating about 3100cal to keep it 500cal above maintenance. This should give me a clean bulk without to much fat gain. The amount of cal above maintenance will adjust as I gain weight through the cycle. Protein intake is a minimum of 1.5g/lb bodyweight. Is 500cal above maintenance enough while on a cycle?

I train with the following split:
Chest/Tri
Back/Bi
Legs/calves
Should/traps
Off
repeat
(abs ED)
25-30 sets each workout. Every few weeks I switch out excercises and change reps/sets to keep the muscles shocked. I will add some more advanced shocking principles once I get further into the cyle and I think my muscles can handle it.

It all depends on what works for you, sometimes 500 cals above maintenance might be to much and you might gain to much fat along with muscle. Its called trial and error, you should do a bulk and see how your body reacts before you jump into AAS. Also if you are at 15% you should get to a lower bf to maximize your results otherwise is almost pissing down the drain!!!

I can't speak for others. There is no number set in stone as far as gains. I do know this however your first cycle will be your best. Before you ever use AAS your body is loaded with andro receptors with not enough test to fill them. Te very first time you introduce exogenous test into your system, all those receptors are filled to capacity and then some. The gains are incredible (or have the potential to be). After that, the problem most veteran steroid users face is not enough clear receptors but plenty of AAS. So, that first cycle is the best cycle. Make it count bro!

Can't really definitively answer that since we are all different and I have no knowledge of your nutritional intact and work out routine. 10-15 pounds is most definitely not out of the realm of possibility if all is on point. As far as my personal gains on my first cycle. None. I ran test 400 once a week for 10 weeks and really didn't gain a thing. Diet was way off and my workout program was pretty sorry. That was about 10 years ago and I've changed things quite a bit since then.
