First AAS Cycle - Is HCG really needed?
Quick intro. I'm 35 and this will be my first AAS cycle. I have ran a few prohormones in short cycles but now I'm ready to try real gear. The cycle will look like this:
Test E - 16weeks @ 500mg/week
Arimidex - starting at .25mg EOD and ramping dose if needed.
Will have Letro on hand just in case.
PCT - Toremifene - Week 1 - 90 mg
Week 2 - 60 mg
Week 3 - 60 mg
Week 4 - 30 mg
Along with Torem I'll be using DAA throughout PCT and for an additional 4 weeks.
Here is my question. Is HCG really needed to keep the leydig cells stimulated while on cycle? Can you return to full production if HCG is not used?
Looking for advice from experience people who have used both protocols ( with & without HCG )
Thanks in advance for your time and interest.

i wouldnt do a cycle for more than 12 weeks unless i had hCG
its cheap and easy to get so no excuses imo
its not that i dont think you would recover from a 16 weeker without it, its just going to be harder
250-500iu twice a week, start on the lower end of that and see how you get on
I don't think HCG is always necessary either: in my case, I did my first cycle (test-e only, similarly to yours) and had HCG at hand, but couldn't get any bacteriostatic water and container to mix it until well into the cyle. Came off of it, did my PCT with Nolva and then got a blood test and my Testosterone levels were in the 500s, me being 30.
Ask around and many will agree that HCG is not necessary for a first cycle.
tread-mStats?
Sorry. 5'10" 185lbs. Been lifting on and off since early 20's. I've been serious for the last two years. Started out 145lbs 2 years ago and gained the 40lbs naturally. The PH cycles were right after the college years and no gains were kept. In the last 18 months I've just been lifting and trying to learn as much as I can about this lifestyle.
tread-mHcg is not "required" but its not a bad idea to at minimal jumpstart with it in the last 2 to 3 weeks of cycle. Keep and eye out for wood quality depreciation and sore joints, just feeling shitty in general and drop the AI out if occurs, estro is likely getting too low. Work your diet its the whole deal on cycle and the whole deal off cycle to maintain gains. Drink a lot of water and if nothing but water thats fine too in order to keep from retaining water and keep the salt to a minimum. In advance I would begin saw pallmetto for DHT and heart health supps such as coq10 , fish oil etc, pottasium supps as well. Look at the sticky in the general on bp given it can be an issue and is controllable, do plenty of cardio as well. As a first I might back the cycle to 12 weeks but thats your call...have fun with and work your plan brother its all about food.
Thanks man. No doubt, food got me this far and so thats where I'll keep the focus.
On a side note. I've been reading on this site for a long time and you guys know your gear and how to use it. Thanks for taking the time to teach all us new guys.
