End of first cycle, some (noob) observations...

ad

Ok, so today is officially the end of my first cycle. I ended up running this:

Weeks 1-12: Test Enanthate 600mg per week, split mon/thurs
Weeks 1-4: Dbol 40mg a day, split a.m./p.m.
Weeks 10-14 Test Prop 100mg EOD
Weeks 10-14 Mast Prop 100mg EOD

My starting weight was 180lbs (11% bf), end weight 195lbs (11-12% bf). Here’s a few typically noob observations:

  • Being on cycle, I was trying way too hard to train as often as possible to get the best out of it. Not smart! Without the odd day off, I wasn’t giving myself time to heal and grow. By week 6, I started picking up irritating little injuries more often. It forced me to schedule in a few more off-days, and I really felt the benefit.
  • Food! Despite knowing that I had to increase my calorie and protein intake, I probably didn’t realize how much. Also, training everyday (see above) I was burning it off as quickly as I could get it in my mouth. I eventually got a handle on this, and weight started picking up consistently after.
  • Dbol! I was quite happy to stop taking this stuff. Sure, I looked bigger and was stronger, but I also had high blood pressure. I guess it just doesn’t agree with me.
  • Inconsistent Gear? Pretty sure my second vial of Test E was crap. All the sides I’d had from the first vial disappeared on the second, which is partly why I started…
  • The Taper! By far my favourite bit of the cycle. The Prop and Mast had me dragging my lazy ass out of bed for early morning workouts (extremely unusual for me – not a morning person at all). Sides came back big time, strength shot up, and I was feeling great. Loved it!
  • Pinning. Isn’t it amazing how the body adjusts to having bits of metal shoved in it? My first jab was sooo bad, I almost reconsidered the whole thing. IMO, glutes are an easier intro to pinning (easier to hide the pain – no limping!) although now I love doing quads too (never thought I’d be saying that 14 weeks ago!)

I’m sure there’s loads of stuff I’ve missed out here, but I’m keen to get to the gym for my last on cycle session. Will post final pics later if I have time. PCT starts in a few days ☹

Thanks for the update. Excellent notes here. Thorough, and learned. I found keeping a daily log including what was taken, my workout regimen, and my attitude that day, invaluable in figuring out what worked and what didn't. Get smarter, stronger, and def don't damage yourself. Good luck with the ongoing PCT.

Great post! Very detailed and it sound like you know your body well enough to know not to take the chance with Dbol again. The diet factor and the "Must work out 24/7," mentality is tough to break but Im glad to know now why to take breaks especially on AAS where the weight ur tossing around the gym is dramatically increased.
I'll be following your April cycle.

Bro, u gained the knowledge of how u react to dbol and u don't find it favorable to your personal likes and experience... thats a check in the win column : )

may i ask why you decided to stack different compounds rather than the usual just test for a first cycle?

Bro, EXCELLENT observations of a first cycle! Cycling is more than just compounds, its about paying attention and sounds like you were... Nice job, but now the hard part... MAINTAINING! Interested in hearing about your PCT experience Smile
