Deca or EQ

ad

Ok gentleman I'm planning a bulk for winter and wanted to get some feed back from those who have used both compounds. My stats are

43
5'9
205lbs
8% FB (just came off a show)
Been training for over 25 years off and on. This will be my 5th cycle but a first for either Deca or EQ. I like to keep my cycle length to 14 weeks and the EQ I may use is Cypionate ester so 14 weeks will be plenty. My other option is to run NPP and I may through in Masteron to help keep me dry and grainy.

So I'm looking to bulk hopefully put on a nice 10 to 15 pounds of clean muscle with little bloat (Anadrol does not bloat me) over the winter.

So it seems like EQ is the perfered gear to run. I do like that fact that it will be easier to recover after pct and being a young 43 deca could possibly cause a problem. Thanks for the replys gents, this is why I came to you guys!

I don't necessarily agree with that. Both have their drawbacks. An EQ run needs to be longer, Deca recovery can be messier. If you're purely looking to add bulk, there's no decision to make IMO, run deca. Let's be realistic, you and I are at that age where you may not bounce back and it's TRT time. That could happen either way. Just go into it with open eyes, realising that you may not bounce back like before.

Your absolutely right anything could happen after a cycle at our age. Thanks for the heads up!

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. EQ can have some serious blood pressure issues involved with it. Something you should be very aware of at your age.
You have to run EQ much longer (around 20 weeks) to see the desired results, which can negate the recovery issues associated with deca.
Just some food for thought.

Thanks for the reply! The EQ I would be running has a Cypionate ester so a 12 well cycle should be g2g! The potential of increased blood pressure does play on my mine so I would deffenetly keep an eye on that.

Get it checked weekly and make sure you donate blood 8 weeks in. BP is no joke and is something I've had to contend with as I've gotten older. Good luck.

When you say you're thinking about running the cypionate ester in reference to eq I assume you're talking about 1-test cyp.

Never mind I just researched it and I see there is a cyp ester for eq. You learn something new everyday! The PIP is quite bad apparently.

I'm surprised bro that you ascribe to this "new age" bodybuilding idea of trying to stay at 10% or lower all year long and add any substantial mass. I've been competing for over 15 years and when I bulk I bulk - I'll hit maybe 30 or 40 pounds over my stage weight to really pack on the mass. Then I cut.

The idea of the "lean bulk" is urban legend in my mind. Can you gain lean mass and keep lean. I'm sure you can. Is it the most efficient way of maximizing what you can obtain on a bulk. I think not. Sometimes I have had to take a whole year off to grow - no workout videos, no shows, no photo shoots, no guest appearances, nada nothing. No porn movies. (joke).

Just my thoughts bro.

Correct but I am unsure how big of a difference it will make once you start to cut down again. It increases the odds of fatty acid deposits into adipose vs muscle cells but then again your muscle cells are also growing and thus producing more receptors so its a trade off...in which direction who knows.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not trying to stay at sub 10% year round haha I love to eat. I'm only lean now cause of a show.

Lean bulk? That's a bulk with a poor diet isn't it?

If you're bulking, then bulk. I hit 298lbs last time, not a pretty 298 either. Carve it up later.

It's been years sense I ran gear and my memory isn't as sharp as it used to be but I don't remember retaining much water
